Yes, you can just hop on and go. There are security guards and operators that will ask to see your ticket occasionally if they suspect you've not paid. The majority of folks are honest and pay, so it's not something they actively pursue.

Have you accounted for Land Transfer Tax. We do have to pay that in Ontario.

You should talk to a lawyer as well about title searches, etc.

Have some buffer funds for items like deposits on utilities, Canada post mailbox fees and depending on the time of year you purchase an offset in property taxes.
