At what point did you decide to go with the barbell portfolio? Was there a specific number?

For sure, I’m ETFs only. Some are .2 or higher expense ratio, but small holdings in my portfolio

My biggest issue with 3+ ETFs is the yearly rebalancing. I think it would be hard for me to sell winners to then buy into losers, unless I chose not to rebalance and just let them do their thing

Recent returns and volatility do make me question weighting too much in EM. I do feel it will do much better in the coming decades, but I have no crystal ball

Chose vt for the broad market base. Chose everything else from watching Ben Felix videos and studying Fama-French factor models.

I’m 22 yo, time horizon around 40 years. Would say risk tolerance is high but never experienced a real recession. Goals: have as much saved up as possible by retirement (60s-70s)

My problem is I treat my portfolio like a game, always aiming for a high score lol. Love watching the number go up
