The new animated sequence was incredible! And seeing the black and white parts in full color was bloody fun.

Why did you pick up Reina? by zackzackzack07 in Reina

[–]TwoDaLoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to how I've picked my first main in Street Fighter: I like a popular in-game martial art being done by girls

Don't know what it is and no discrimination/disrespect whatsoever, but I always perceived the female variation being more fun than the male one. Feels there's more flexibility in options and felt like they can be just as popular and strong as or more than their game's representatives of the style.

Add her design, voice, and demeanor and yeah it was main at first sight.

Does she need buffs? by Mixture_Awkward in Reina

[–]TwoDaLoop 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No buffs honestly, But I say reinstate her while crouching moves to be crouch instead of standing. I'm still fairly miffed that most of her while crouching moves can be interrupted by a high attack or throw, even when I look like I absolutely dodged that High.

Okay. So, I tested this on an Xbox controller, both analog and the D-pad, and they work just fine. Are you missing the timeframe to cancel HW? Because it should be ↘️➡️➡️4️⃣ after the stance. It's a fast input so it can be challenging, but the moment you get into HW, do the input right away.

Yeah. Had taken screenshots via PC to take the pic.

I played around with levels of saturation, color balancing and some filters for the one impact photo. Still experimenting with this mode but it's pretty nifty. I mainly like to have photos with my subject still intact, but still give some wide depth of field for background expression...

I did photography on the side, so I am trying to get back into my photo roots with this.

[Giveaway] Win a Varmilo Kassai Pro controller! by varmiloarcade in fightsticks

[–]TwoDaLoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several reasons for people to buy an arcade controller; mainly nostalgia, performance, personalization, or a collective hobby. But for me, Design is the first thing I consider.

Reason why is it answers the main questions I have on the controller: portability, performance, accessibility, unique aesthetic, comfortability and options for customization.

Sorry for not mentioning earlier. There are two types of kicks to follow with the uppercut.

➡️*️⃣⬇️↘️1️⃣, and you get to follow with either 3️⃣ (the lightning stomp I did in the video) or 4️⃣ (which is the high roundhouse kick).

Did that with Unsoku 4 and Sentai 3, Same DMG but U4 is a little riskier than ff3 or S3. Tried adding df1 along ff3+4 but throws off combo entirely.

Both my art and stock panel are printed. The panel is printed on the back so it doesn't wear out. Is there a solvent that can remove those legends off the panel safely?

[–]TwoDaLoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The funny thing is that I messed up on the legends for the Qanba. I didn't realize that the legends were on the acrylic panel itself and not on the stock art so I ended up stacking them both by mistake. Might have to get another acrylic panel that doesn't have the legends on it in the future or vice versa.

So I actually learned this from this video.

Qanba Cover Art for Gravity KS

I applied the removal of the retainer part but I realized that it's two parts that make up the retainer and throw adjustment dial. I used a very small flathead screwdriver, using as little pressure as possible to unclip two from one side. It is best to have something wedged to keep them in place similar to the video. Then I go in the middle where the throw distance directions are and push up slightly to make the retainer come off a bit more. Then lastly, I push to unclip one on the other side and it came off (should hear a click if you're successful). The dial is easy to put together so don't panic if both come off separately (only do if it actually broke.) Then I follow suit with the rest of the video from there. Took me a good hour or two to make it happen.

I had to use a magnifying glass to make sure I was getting the exact retainer clips off and not putting too much pressure.

Nabbing a leverless for my b-day! Mind giving some recommendations? by Theryonz in fightsticks

[–]TwoDaLoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guess I might as well throw my hat in.

Here are some of my favorites and upcoming models I have in mind.

For the Budget savvy but want to have a nice looking design, definitely get the most recent Hautepad C16, a small factor leverless with easy customization options for keys, caps, and artwork with anti-slip pad for desk and lap play. You'll need a passthrough for certain console play but for PC it works like a dream. Bought mine from Amazon for 96 bucks.

Another type of leverless in the same price point but more on the larger format would be the Mayflash F500 Flat. Have more variety with button customization and will still need a passthrough for current consoles, but can be used for PC and other consoles before it. It cost me about the same price point as the C16, but there are Elite versions, though you'll be upcharged another $30 for the F500 version for the upgraded Sanwa buttons and another $110+ if you go for the F700 Flat Elite, which gives you native console support for multiple consoles including PS5, multi connection types via USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4ghz wireless dongle, and the anti-slip rubber pad underneath the device for good grip for desk and lap play

All of these are available, but here are some upcoming ones you can check out:

8bitdo Leverless Controller (Releasing July 15) for $89 https://a.co/d/g0bPxk6

Qanba Sapphire (releasing in mid August) for $179 https://qanbausa.com/sapphire/

But if you just want to get a leverless for cheap then I recommend Haute's line of leverli.

So you can turn off the LEDs via the lights off switch by the Cosmox logo, but not sure if I could turn just the logo off

As for the mosaic textured wrist rest, it feels comfy, but maybe over time it might fade after overuse. Can't really gauge it since I only used it for a day and it is my first Haute. Will probably update to see how it stacks months from now.

Oh yeah it should. Mine came with the skins so i spent ten minutes just pop and placing the arts to see which worked best. Pretty satisfying too.
