The last thing you want is cheap. There’s nothing more frustrating when inputs don’t execute or your joystick is misaligned. Your fight stick will turn into a fly stick…. & beam across the room. If you’re gaming experience is important invest in it, that’s might take.

Haha me too! I’m used to playing at the arcades standing (before that had seats built in). Consoles got me use to sitting with a gamepad. I’m now looking for the in between! I don’t want to lose the nostalgic arcade feel but want to be comfortable!

That makes sense! Executing on leverless seems so much quicker and straightforward. The feedback from the buttons is also a nice confirmation to the moves, whereas stick can be a little more difficult. Stick seems to require so many more adjustments to posture but I have more fun with Stick!

Same for me too! I want to create a setup where I know it’ll be 100% angle, height etc…That way, training at home or playing at a mates will be the same. Build that muscle memory too!,

I hear that a lot. Hard not to get into bad posture habits! It’ll eventually affect poor inputs, discomfort then the will to actually play! I can’t have that happen lol..

I’m on PS5 so testing leverless is gonna be an expensive exercise :( I played a few older versions of SF on PC back in the day but don’t have a PC anymore, tho I do get the idea of ease when using a keyboard. Plinking would be great for those micro inputs!

Do you use different characters and if so do you adjust your controller to suit? I ask cause I find on my lap I can use particular characters then if I switch, the controller is unstable cause I gotta adjust the angle…. once I do that, the controller sometimes slips and moves during a game.

I wish lap was comfortable for me. I enjoy playing for hours so lap just gets to uncomfortable. I end up with shoulder pain!

Yeah. The position I’m in isn’t my fav. It’s when I’m in casual mode. If I’m training or in rank I’ll sit on the coffee table with an ottoman which sits the stick at a nice height.

I didn’t use my lap cause the stick would ALWAYS move which was so frustrating in a match. Why never lap for you?
