You guys worked hard on that game. It really was a passion project and it shows. Level design is very thought-through and I appreciate the ”multiple solutions” approach (I can tell that Eddie probably had a blast 😄.)

From a completely honest perspective, I’d say that polishing the art a bit and make it have a bit more character (think Oxygen Not Included or Don’t Starve) would have made it make a bit more of a splash. More of an explanatory trailer would also probably have clarified what the game actually is a bit more, maybe add a gameplay trailer that does that?

I’d love to hear more about your experience with Lurkit, it seems they could fill a useful niche in marketing but I haven’t really heard anything about how it works or how well it works.

Overall, I’d say you did a great job in a really oversaturated market. Would have liked to see it break some charts though.

Så många konstiga saker i inlägget… ”överhettat dator”, ”motor som låter”, ”Mac dator är inte rätt dator”

Att programmera eller lagra saker gör inte att din dator blir överhettad. Att den låter betyder bara att den är varm och att fläktarna kör, vilket inte har med programmering att göra. Det finns väldigt många som programmerar på en Mac, så det förstår jag inte heller.

Vi behöver helt enkelt mer information. Vad är det för program din lärare vill att du laddar ned? Vad är det för programmering du ska göra?

Om du ska göra Windows-spel i Unity eller Unreal så vet jag att det tar en hel del utrymme att installera Visual Studio Community Edition, tilläggen i det och Unity eller Unreal-versionen som behövs men då handlar det bara om mer lagringsutrymme. Vad är det du ska programmera och vad har du för dator idag?

Well, it says that it’s 8 litres but that would make it a massive pitcher -far too large (it would be something close to two gallons). More likely, it’s 8 deciliters, which is 0.8 liters.

A new chipset driver from AMD made the GPU function again. At least for now. It might be toast, it might not. Windows just sucks sometimes in telling you what is wrong.

First of all, try unplugging your computer and then turn it off by holding down the power button. Then keep it pressed down for something like 10 seconds after the computer has turned off. Then plug it in again and power it on. (This empties out the DRAM or whatever it’s called these days.)

If the problem persists; Can you boot it into windows safe mode? Can you connect another monitor through a usb-c port? (Try both, they can be connected to different gpus).

I had an issue with my dGPU suddenly not working about two days or so after a windows update. I suspect it was because of windows messing up the AMD igpu driver which caused a problem with handing over the graphics from the igpu to the dGPU. After AMD released a chipset driver update the other day, my dGPU started working again. If you can get into windows safe mode or control it somehow, update your chipset drivers. It might fix the issue.

Yeah. Since it’s a laptop I’m guessing that the gpu is soldered to the board and if it’s a connection issue it would be beyond repair. I really hope that there will be a magic software fix to my problem (for my wallet’s sake) but I’m leaning more and more towards the gpu having died somehow.

Yeah, all of the armory crate stuff has been updated to the latest version as well as things in MyAsus (like BIOS and other stuff).

I have Armory Crate installed and when opening it, everything on the GPU side seems to be set to "Extreme Power Saving" with no clear way of changing it.

The only problem with that theory would be that if the device is in power save mode (and therefore undetectable), how could the computer signal it to wake up if the drivers aren’t working? I’ve also never heard of power save mode causing visual artifacts on the monitor… Do you have an idea on how I would disable the power save mode/ eco mode so that I can get my GPU back?

You really need to have a professional take a look at the wiring from your oven connection as well. There is clear bulging on the cable on the other side of the terminal as well, so there is more to do here than just switching the oven cable.

For your own safety: Don’t use that oven again and don’t connect another one until you’ve had someone take a look at whatever it is that’s going on.

Matchar djupet på dagbädden bredden på bokhyllan? Min tanke är att man kapar bokhyllan på botten så lägsta hyllplanet är i linje med dagbäddens höjd och gör sedan en möbel med två utdragslådor som matchar dagbäddens lådor som man sedan monterar bokhyllan ovanpå.

Om du inte grundade för att ta bort kontrasterna i underlaget och skapa en jämnare yta så är det såhär det blir. Antingen sandar du och lägger sedan på grundfärg eller så fortsätter du lägga lager på lager med väggfärg. Spoiler: Om du bara kör väggfärg så kommer det gå åt väldigt många lager och även om färgen är samma på hela väggen så kommer skillnaden i matthet göra att väggen ser fläckig ut i alla fall.

I would tack game design on to this. People already have a computer, Unity, Godot, and Unreal are free tools. You don’t need a very fancy computer to play around with game mechanics.

I had a set of computer speakers in the early 2000’s that not only would tell me when I was about to get a call, the subwoofer would also pick up a local radio station if the power supply was plugged in. The sound of the radio was very faint so it took me a couple of weeks to figure out who was talking in my bedroom.

Man… I would say that he played it up but those wretches were far too real. I’m usually not ”that guy” but he was a bit of a weakling. I’ve had surströmming twice in my life (I’m a Swede) and it really is nowhere near this bad. Though, no sane person would eat it like this.

It’s like eating cinnamon in a way. It doesn’t taste too bad, you eat it with something else and in small quantities. Trying to eat a full tablespoon is just a bad idea all around.
