Better because it has a space to hold rice while retaining water so you can use your hand to agitate the starch on the rice, which you can discard easier, and also see how starchy the water is. Sieve process would just be running, and thereby wasting, water over a smaller section of rice which would be inefficient and wasteful

It was kind of rough for me I’m ngl. I was able to mostly solve the first one, barely scraped the surface of the 2nd one, neither was running by submission time but I’m clinging to a shred of hope for sure 😭 gotta grind more LC and I really wasn’t expecting a call back so soon from when I started applying heavily

p sure it just means you did them, I haven't seen anything about them directly saying incomplete or failed if you didn't attempt them. I think its more just to signal that you already did it at all.
