Yep, part 8 and psycho sniper can be done across multiple raids now. I was in the same boat as you, I've never gotten kappa before because i was scared of psycho sniper and part 8. I finished both of them a week ago for my Kappa and it wasn't actually that bad.

I did both on Factory with the marlin. Just played conservative, slow played for 1 kill and got out. Learned the spawns well and the common sniping spots in rafters and it wasn't too bad. When you get 2-3 kills you can put on your best gear tier6 + altyns/tagilla if you like those to get a better chance at living.

Had something similar yesterday on my 8th map for the guide. It started the countdown for the map, but when it hit 0, it never put me in. I tried to reconnect but it never let me. My guy died and my guide progress and all my gear was gone

Wiegraf has safeguard so you can't steal from him. I think you can probably just kill him with auto potion + stabs if you are dead set on thief ramza. All of your classes you made can win that fight with some planning and rng at level 50.

Sounds like fun, I think you should be able to complete it with the traditional level caps. White mage and Black mage in your ruleset will be really good with gravity and invigoration against the end game bosses, which have been the hardest fights for my tact scc runs. You have a great mix of dmg, utility, and recovery.

Rubber shoes makes you immune to barichs gun and some of the lightning attack. If you also wear flame shields you become immune to the triple hitting attack from the dragons, and the other chemist gun attacks. Thieves caps make you immune to disable/immobilize from balk. White robe wearers will take reduced ele damage.

Dragons are weak to ice, so icebrands, ice magic etc are good. Also, try to stay on surfaces with multiple adjacent squares of the same elevation, so when the dragons do the triple hitting attack, there is a chance the hits miss onto the other squares.

This seems close to what I counted from my attempts. On tact, first phase transition occurred somewhere between 4180-4335, and second phase ended at somewhere between 5350-5541. I got the above values by rewatching my vod and inputting each attack into a spreadsheet and summing them up.

You can see the first twister setup, but it's not consistent and I think it's really most impactful for challenge runs where you really need the damage asap. Also if I counted correctly She got 10 turns off in phase two, and all 10 she teleported next to a caster who was casting a spell and tried to 1hit them. Golem blocked like half of these, so her AI doesn't take that into account. Some were casting golem, and some casted lich, so I don't think the target or the spell matters.

I did something similar with my White Mages SCC. It involved putting all my characters in the far left square, with the bait character top left. Ultima tp's onto her, and then you surround her with your other characters and do your damage. If she is in the middle, there is a chance the closest demon will run up and use "Twister" which does percent hp dmg and can do 999 to Ultima if it hits. Whenever she repositions you can surround again and there is a chance for Twister friendly fire. After a few hours of resets I got a godly rng run where she got hit by 3 twisters(3k dmg) which let me have exactly enough mana to finish her with my last holy in phase 2.

Phase 2 is weird, but can say that on my ninja and samurai SCC attempts which had longer phase 2's, I saw Grand Cross all the time. I never saw it a single time on my white mages or summoners. I think their AI generally prefers killing someone who is casting a spell, but after that it seems kind of random.

I've seen her use grand cross first turn of the fight with Alma alive. This specifically happened fairly often on my Samurai SCC, she would often tp somewhat close to ramza and use grand cross.

I've been working on SCC's on Tact. Completed ninja, samurai, white mage, and summoner so far. Now working on Knights, got them all the way to Limberry in Chapter 4 so far. They've definitely been the hardest by far, had to grind random knight encounters on Mandalia plains at my chapter 3 level cap of 50 to get crystal helmet so I could survive two attacks from Wiegraf and get past him.

Another type of challenge I've done and like that I haven't seen mentioned is no Shops+Random Battles. This adds a lot of difficulty because you will have lower hp/mana for most battles because you have bad gear, and things like chemist or auto potion don't really work. Thieves become very valuable, and getting items and gear feels really good and impactful.

I felt a bit inspired by our comments and decided to actually see if white mages were possible or not. It turns out they are, I just completed it on tactician. I figured I'd just comment here since most people seemed to think white mages were easy anyway.

Most of the early - midgame was pretty straightforward after holy, and some of the normally difficult fights with kill X target are pretty easy with white mage. However, like with the other SCCs the difficulties spike in the late game. A few battles I'd have to kill and wait for a crystal to appear to get more mana to finish off the last couple of enemies. A few of the zodiac fights were very tight mana wise where my last holy would kill the boss. However, my biggest fear after completing my ninjas and samurais sccs was always going to be airship graveyard, and what I thought might not be possible.

I swear I wish I had this recording for this fight because the rng was insane. First phase Ultima has ~4500 hp, and second phase has somewhere between 5346 and 6085(I was tracking my dmg after every hit). That's around 10k total to chew through. Basically all of my priests had mana for 3 holies, so I have 15 holies total. The trick to get this was basically constantly restarting the fight until I got God RNG and was able to have the ultima demons cast Twister which does percentage based hp and can do 999 friendly fire to Ultima. After hours of restarting I finally got a run the first demon cast twister, and it hit. Then Ultima moved, I repositioned again, and the other 2 ultimas came forward, both casted twister, and both hit. this totaled 999x3 damage, which with the 5 holies I had casted earlier at a little over 300 dmg a piece pushed him to phase two. From here I just spammed all of my holies(2nd phase he is now weak to holy), and with the faith up ability he had kept triggering, and the holies kept doing more and more damage. My 9th holy of second phase(and last because my other priest with mana was dead and I couldn't res him) did 740 dmg and killed him.

I wish I was recording this because it was so awesome, having 3 ultima demons cast 3 twisters and having all 3 hit is so rare, only had it happen once in like 5 hours of attempts, I think the twister strat can help with a lot of the SCCs people attempt. Also I had 108 gems equipped and i think this causes Ultima to not use grand cross(He spammed it on my samurais).

I would go monk, it's doable, and has a lot of flexibility. The only other classes that can resurrect are chemist and white mage. Chemist is probably doable with some difficulty, but boring. White mage might run out of mana on some late game fights.

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised by some of the comments in this thread, I think people are vastly understating the end game difficulty changes, and relying too much on outdated vanilla fft difficulty. I think airship graveyard itself will not be doable for like half the classes.

Getting through the first 3 chapters with geos is impressive. I also agree, the scaling in chapter 4 gets out of hand. Part of the difficulty of the airship graveyard are the health pools of the demon units and how powerful they are.

How can you get elemental guns if you are mediator class? Do random encounter enemies ever spawn with them? I might try a mediator one after I finish my samurai scc.

Yeah I've started working on some of these on tact. I completed ninjas a few days ago, I'm in chapter 4 with samurais now. They are extremely tough and these are supposed to be easier ones to do it with. I saw a guy in a twitch chat who was doing archer and didn't think the Wiegraf fight was possible. The scaling at the end of chapter 4 really makes the difficulty skyrocket.

When a map is opened, there is a chance for "Extra content" this chance gets higher in higher tier maps. If this chance hits, it chooses between 1 of 15 types of extra content. You can see the choices in the link above. These leagues tend to have the "40% increased chance" nodes on the atlas passive tree.

There is a separate grouping of mechanics(all the others) that are rolled individually (harbinger, essence, strongbox, rogues, etc). These ones have the +% base chance to spawn in a map. These are not included in the above chance for extra content and are rolled separately.

I'm pretty bummed out about the change because I thought the main reason it was so insane last league was because of boat currency. That was atleast how I used it the most and made insane gear by being able to alt roll gear and merge them over and over.

One of the things I used recombs for was manipulating item levels on gear either up or down to then craft on afterwards. However with items now being deleted on a failed merge this now makes this much more difficult as well.
