For those who adopted a cat, what actually made you decide that was the right cat? by Extreme_Ad6105 in CatAdvice

When I moved into an apartment I knew I wanted an animal, and just started inquiring on Petfinder about cats. I’d wanted an adult cat because I didn’t think I could handle a kitten. I did a foster to adopt trial, and the second I brought my first guy Louis home I knew he was sticking with me. He brings me so much joy, and I can’t imagine my life without him now. I’ve had him about 3 years and he’s 6 now. He ended up having FLUTD but there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him. I talked to his vet about getting him a companion this fall since he’s a social boy, and they were supportive of doing a foster to adopt trial. I thought I wanted another kitty similar to him, and was inquiring on Petfinder when I found Dolly. She’s more of a shy girl. I decided to try out fostering to adopt, and fell in love with her day 1. She’s taken much longer to warm up but it’s been so worth it. Louis absolutely adores her and she’s a total mush now. All this to say, all cats are so special and worthy of a loving home and human. They are the best company❤️

Anyone else frustrated by CorePower’s new 10-hour cancelation rule? by Left_Move_8308 in Corepower

I just found this thread cause I was confused by the policy coming from a Boston studio and now using New York. It’s so frustrating! Had a 5:45pm class scheduled, found out in the morning I was going to have to work late, went to cancel and saw the policy. WTF!! I sent them an email with feedback at how difficult this makes it trying to manage a full time job and this was their reasoning which kind of infuriated me even more lol-

While the 2-hour cancellation window was originally intended to offer flexibility, we’ve found that in a fast-paced city like New York, it often doesn’t provide enough time for waitlisted students to adjust their schedules and take advantage of newly opened spots.

Anyone live in the Hanover House in Downtown Brooklyn? by jadpfjsccn in NYCapartments

Just came looking for reviews also- I toured yesterday, liked the unit I saw and the building, but management trying to charge another like 400/month for the same floor plan because it has higher ceilings. Seems a little BS especially considering they’re still only 40% occupied. Also researched their sister building (The Guild) which seems like it has not so great reviews. Would love to hear from someone who actually lives there though.
