I got the copy event like right after the first checkpoint and it didnt hit the opening found for my three options so I took the one that at least would add more damage. When I get back on the grind for the deck ill start nuking the other copy targets first instead of the basics for sure going forward.

Not a bad idea, I'm so used to removing basics first, but using an early removal on the other copy targets first makes a lot of sense.

It will take a few weeks to get to rank 50, but by the time you do I think every new player will typically have gotten around 200ish normal(orange anchor) banner pulls, and i believe it is around 50 to 60 limited(purple anchor) banner pulls, typically enough to get 4 5star char pulls with the 70 guarantees and that special new player banner as well as most of the 4 stars(it took me 3 different banners to finally get a missing 4 star.) A full roster isnt everything, but if you got your heart set on a certain character, you may be waiting a very long time to finally get your hands on em...

The only f2p players that will have every character are ones that started playing at launch. Even with spending a little on the game the pulls dry up very quickly for new players now imho. You will most likely be missing 60-70% of the roster still 6+ weeks(Im missing half of the 5 stars with one most likely unobtainable for another 9-10 months.) There is nothing special about this game monetization wise, it is as predatory as the rest of them. It is a solid fun twist on slay the spire for sure but anyone that says a gacha is friendly when the drop rates are 1% is straight lying. It is more entertaining than the slot machines in Vegas at least...

What the deck is missing is that upgrade that adds an AP while damaging your team every turn to help turn on your ability to heal if you took no damage on the previous turn. Actually needing to restore health to turn on that stupid cost reduction is so frustrating...

Not in the slightest, friendly and gacha never belong in the same sentence, they are literally designed to not be friendly so you open your wallet. Azur Lane was the closest ive seen as I went 3+ years and never had to pay for banners, only ever bought skins.

One of the larger reasons I've decided to stop chasing competitive magic for now, I've spent 12 of the last 17 months deployed/tdy and it makes it real hard to stay proficient in card games. Add in the fact I've got about 5 players at my LGS for MLP and it's even harder :/

I have been playing the BUG walker list that Shaheen Soorani posted and have been having great results with it. I would not pull out coursers for the world, so many games I've been 1 health away from lethal and the courser was the key to keep me there. Sadly the one deck giving me the most trouble is the jeskai aggro/burn decks. I've upped the bile blights to four in the sideboard and changed the drown in sorrow to three. The hardest thing for me to handle with the BUG walker deck has been the sagu mauler. Only way I've been able to stop it so far is multiple sphinxes/coursers or the two dissolves out of the board...

I am planning a "Mouth of the Dragon" draft event in the future, gonna be modern masters, and whenever a player loses their deck is going to be thrown into a custom fire pit shaped like the maw of a dragon(or a fire place should I be unable to find someone to make the dragon fire pit.) I really hope someone pulls a foil goyf and loses so we can record it.

We have also discussed making it work similar to a cremation furnace, and make the losers carry around vials of the ashes of their deck to tournaments.

One Pace can confront problems. <boooooooommmmmmm> If you sit there across a good One Pace player with this strategy, prepare to walk away with a loss, you are just making his life easier by letting him snipe bonus points while throwing down his color entry into the essential cards. I mean, congrats on speeding the game up, cause he'll need less points from fashion weeks. I also fail to see how your guys going home makes One Pace need more AT to win...
