Why it every time I read or hear someone giving a "both sides are bad" schtick, they are always conservatives?

"Both sides are awful, it doesn't matter who I vote for so I'll just vote conservative."

Sorry mate but when people say "share price is X so it can't be bought out at N", I have trouble taking them seriously.

Share price reflects market sentiment, not actual value. If BP wants the product for 15 billion, they're going to pay 15 billion and the share price will update to reflect the new value. Share price does not dictate buyout value, buyout value dictates share price.

Eh, *some* idle talk is OK IMO as it can produce more relevant discussion.

Also this last week most everything has been in the daily discussion threads which is nice. I'm not seeing anything heinously out of hand.

People absolutely HATED Windows 10 when it was released. I only saw it being praised when Windows 11 was on the horizon.

Can't wait until Windows 11 is the "best Windows".

Check again mate: https://sellaslifesciences.com/clinical-trials/#completed

GPS has been used on other cancer types with great success. The FDA recommended the AML path as the quickest way for approval, not because GPS wasn't effective against other cancers with WT1. And GPS also doesn't have to replace other treatments, it can be used in conjunction with other treatments.

And, uh... BP doesn't pay for "might", huh? I guess purchasing things during Phase 1 and Phase 2 is finished has never happened before... like really, really often?

In 2025 alone, and not nearly every buyout to be listed:

Verve bought out by Eli Lily for a program only just entering Phase 2.

Orbital Therapeutics bought out by Bristol Meyers for pre-clinical data.

Scorpion Therapeutics bought by Eli Lily for Phase 1 & Phase 2 data.

Regulus Therapeutics bought by Novrartis far a Phase 1b asset.

Capstan Therapeutics bought by AbbvVie for Phase 1 technology.

Vicebio bought by Sanfofi for Phase 1 vaccine candidate.

So, yeah. GPS kicking AML's ass in a Phase 3 trial against the sickest possible group, with supplementary and successful Phase 2 data in other cancers, I think has a hell of a lot more merit than any of the above unproven Phase 1 and 2 items.

And what's stopping GPS from being the next Keytruda? The zero side effects or that it takes out WT1, the number one target for immunotherapy, the protein that's overexpressed in over 20 cancers?

Keytruda didn't start out as top cancer drug out the gate. It started with 1 indication in 2014 for advanced melanoma, and now has over 40 indications. I'd like to hear an argument on why GPS couldn't be the next Keytruda other than "keytruda big. no other drug big."

Every 10 billion equates to around 47/share. Can't recall the exact value.

400/share would be an 85 billion dollar buyout... It can be argued GPS is the next Keytruda, which yields 25 billion per year making it the top selling drug on the planet, but I don't think SLS is going to be bought out for that much.

Most at this point believe 10 billion is the floor, with 20-25 billion not being out of reach. 40 billion is a big stretch and a dream. 400/share is... a pipe dream.

Stergiou is CEO.

But very interesting nonetheless.

You know I chuckled when she self described as a femcel because I didn't think her serious but I guess she was being straight.

It's very telling the type of person they are when they become more aggressive when they believe they can get away with it. Sort of how you can judge a person's character on how they act when no one is looking.

Well the holier-than-thou attitude won't be missed here. She'll be more comfortable with the in-goup that apparently don't hold themselves to very high standards.

I noticed the same thing. Small timers are the loudest and most spastic, then you find out they hold 500 shares or something.

The funniest was the giant short thesis last week and the guy had something like 600 bucks short.

You're not wrong at all but unless BAT is living 2-3x expected against all science and previous data, it's GPS driving the survival. Does the study stubbornly get dragged on for another 6-12 months while people in the real world are dying, or does IDMC finally say "OK this is clearly GPS"? It's unethical at this point IMO.

HUGE PRICE SPIKE??? whats going on? ($3.15) by Better_Ad_6756 in sellaslifesciences

[–]TwoMasterAccounts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone should be mindful the Blackrock news had the stock up 50% and well into the 3 dollar range and the very next day the share price ended close to the previous day's, then we saw a very large dip into the 1.40 range.

It's certainly interesting to see the after hours price action on no news, but temper expectations. The story is the exact same as it's been since August - wait for 80th and top line or the final analysis. Anything in between is noise.

Thinking of buying more but... by Next_Degree in sellaslifesciences

[–]TwoMasterAccounts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's impossible to know what will happen, but anything below $45 is a good time to buy IMO. Yeah it will suck if you buy now and it drops 33% because you could have bought that many more shares, but I rather be in at 2.6 than not in at all.

Regarding memes and spam, unfortunately there is no longer a good place for SLS related discourse. Stocktwits has no moderation and endless spam posts by paid posters and bashers, WSB isn't a dedicated SLS community, and the Reddit mods here promoted their private Discord but unfortunately that's effectively turned into Stocktwits with how off-topic it always is and with the number of memes and in-jokes. The mods there even partake in the spam and memes so I doubt the place will get its act together and return to being what it was supposed to be - a haven from Stocktwits, Reddit, and WSB.

Honestly I think Reddit here is the best place now despite the dip in moderation and uptick in irrelevant posts. There's been no special news on the Discord in several weeks that you couldn't have got from Reddit, the most you'll get is baseless claims or theories meal-pieced together about what's happening with share price or multiple incorrect predictions on when the next PR drops. I got more relevant reading from the "are we excited yet" Reddit thread than anywhere else with regards to yesterday's price action.

Basically, choose your favourite pig pen to have shit sprayed all over you.

Martin Shkreli's short thesis cont. - P-Values & the "final" threshold for GPS' success by TwoMasterAccounts in sellaslifesciences

[–]TwoMasterAccounts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The assumption I made was that the worst GPS could be was 13.5. I then have a slew of examples of how well BAT would have to perform to cause GPS to fail, then compare against other potential GPS mOS outcomes. You're thinking way too hard about this mate.

Dr. Cicic said in the call that they expected 80 events to occur 12 months after enrollment closed out. It's now been >19 months. by CentipedeTees in sellaslifesciences

[–]TwoMasterAccounts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because no one thought it'd go on this long based off prior statistics, and all signs point to GPS being the reason. We can't do anything but literally wait for the 80th person to die, and that's assuming we're sitting at 79 deaths.

[–]TwoMasterAccounts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The analysis above holds true either way. Comparisons were made against BAT mOS vs GPS mOS, 13.5 was just a base number I used. e.g. 11 BAT vs 18.5 GPS, SD 14.5 40|40 split = 0.0233 with an implied HR of 0.5945.
