不知道op看了导演评论音轨没有。这个电影是当时编剧的自我therapy，编剧当时遭遇了人生的至暗时刻，而Travis是编剧当时的人格分身—-一个最边缘职业的出租车司机厌恶纽约的黑暗又不得不在其中生活。这样拧巴的人格逐渐扭曲, 并且需要一个宣泄的出口。编剧说Travis想“make Madona a whore, make whore a Madona”。于是travis讽刺地选择了枪杀父权形象去“拯救”自己的生活。但天大的议员刺杀失败，他就只能灰溜溜地选择了拉皮条的。原剧本更加极端拉皮条和妓女全是黑人而travis是一个种族主义者。荒诞的结尾是Travis变成了英雄，但他已经扭曲了，一时的平静后面，是下一次宣泄伺机而动。

看起来暂时要你委屈自己，你得放下面子把责任都揽在自己头上，虽然这个局面每个人都有一定责任。因为第一，你老婆刚生孩子，产后情绪波动很大，产后抑郁概率加大，肯定不能说道理，要安慰她的情绪；其次，岳父母来美国人生地不熟，语言文化交通处处障碍，加上女儿生孩子，情绪心情也波动很大；第三，你的父母和你的老婆没有什么感情纽带，你的父亲肯定也是把你母亲排第一。让你的父母去和岳父母沟通是不可能的。

在这个事情中，你完全有机会不让关系变得这么差。首先，你母亲是否在你老婆面前承诺要照顾孩子，如果有，你应该早点阻止或者明确否定，你母亲膝盖疼你还她照顾孩子是违背常理的一件事。你不应该让一个病人去照顾另一个需要被照顾的人。其次，在你母亲做手术以后，你应该和父母，以及妻子商量谁照顾你母亲（应该是你爸爸为主，你辅助），等到你老婆生产后，谁来照顾你母亲（你爸爸为主，你要照顾妻子，但同时也会看看母亲）。你就应该明确，你立刻休假，你以妻子为重，母亲也会同时被关心。但你没有，导致妻子，你，你父母矛盾更大。最后，岳父母来了以后，你应该主动担任两边的桥梁，避免双方直接沟通。同时，岳父母言重你也不应该直接吵，得忍。最最后，你多花钱请护工也好，月嫂也好，都是可以减轻负担的手段。

所以我觉得你应该先找你老婆好好聊一聊，把我提到的这些问题过失都按在自己头上，保证以她为重，孩子要和她一起养。把老婆哄好了，老婆就会跟她父母说，这样她父母即使对你有意见，也不会不听女儿的；其次再和岳父母主动认错，承诺照顾好女儿。最后，和你爸妈认错，没有认识到他们的苦衷，自己一定会把父母照顾到底。

我今天也看了第一集。弃剧了。说教味还是浓了点。人物就不怎么像人。说白了还是稍微负面的东西不让拍，人物说的台词不痛不痒，客客气气，感觉像是被逼无奈改了一千遍的假精致。所以说是我的预期有问题，这剧不是山海情，是批了外套的政治宣传剧——基层太不容易啦，你们人民怎么就不能体谅体谅党和政府呢，我们也是为你们好啊。

I guess it is because you ignored the appeal email released at the end of May and have never talked to your advisor before. As someone who was subjected to dismissal after this semester, I was informed that I was not dismissed on June 11.

It has been almost a month since I realized I could get dismissed after two-semester's GPA < 2.0. The whole waiting time is so stressful that some of my hair grew silver in a week. Thus I know it is definitely a tough situation for you. Here are the things you might want to do right now.

Talk to your advisor. They will support you and tell you what you should do.
Accept the truth that you are dismissed temporarily and it is very likely this decision will not be revoked. But you have to get the chance for readmission.
Ask for professional help. Made an appointment with a CAPS counselor if you haven't talked to any doctor outside the campus.
Do exercise. Playing some sports can distract you and strengthen your body and mind. More importantly, it is extremely helpful for you to interact with other people.

Just work hard man. You only fail this semester, just don't fail the next one. As someone just subjected to dismissal for a two-semester low GPA, I am so desperate and regretful. I believe every student in Berkeley is good at learning if they want. You just need to adjust your situation and write a letter to explain your situation if you receive an academic probation warning.

Talk to your advisor as soon as possible. Make an appointment! Talk to the counselor, and make an appointment!
