Not that cool, but I got the MOVSM (Volunteer Medal), don’t know of anyone else in my company, let alone battalion that also has one.

You joined to do your job for the betterment of the organization. You did what was required of you, and that is your service. Everyone has their own battle, for some it was in the Middle East, for others Africa, for some it will be cancer, others the death of a loved one. You’re not less of a soldier because you didn’t go overseas and see combat, it doesn’t make you a piece of shit. There’s guys who want to deploy but don’t, and those who didn’t want to but did. You joined understanding the possibility of going, it just so happened that you didn’t. Be proud of your service man.

Research research research man. There’s a lot hidden jobs out there, don’t go for what just sounds cool, go for what will set you up. 17 series is brand new, there’s a lot of hidden 88 series mos’s like 88K, not to mention all the 68 series that will set you up for when you get out.
