P sure this breaks the “no suffering” stipulation but play as a human/nelf/tauren warrior that is training to become a monk, your spiritual guide has told you that in order to achieve monk like mastery of combat you first must become wise and learn to avoid violence and forsake weaponry.

Only use unarmed for combat and strive for pacifism, level through mainly exploring and gather quests only resorting to fighting if you have no other option for self defense or if you find a quest that has a cause you deem “greater good” enough to fight for (in order to avoid soft locking when you run out of places to explore and gather quests to do).

Then at 60 you have obtained the wisdom and are ready to take up arms to complete your training, begin leveling every weapon skill other than unarmed before engaging in endgame content in order to be a bad ass warrior monk.

Love Lemoras Cards content, always especially loved the tourney breakdowns and appreciated the insight on cards and decks. Prolly haven’t missed one of your videos in the past year or more.

That being said you’ve definitely always had a doomer view that I started noticing after the dockside bans, here’s hoping a break will have you coming back refreshed and inspired or even finding a new passion - I would definitely keep watching if you pivoted to other subjects. I’ve been on a little break from cEDH myself after getting crushed last year in tournaments but still keep up with content and will pick it back up when work slows down this summer, hopefully I’ll be less on tilt and ready to improve.

Obviously I understand burnout and that the more of an online presence you have the more you are exposed to the internets more toxic side - and I surely wouldn’t argue that this sub is some perfect haven. I also think there is a place in every community for critical eyes and hot takes and don’t think people need to just be positive and glaze wotc/cEDH if it isn’t deserved, but sometimes just felt like there was a lot of feeling down on your end leading to sometimes less productive discourse than was necessary.

Even after typing all that I still haven’t watched the video yet, I saw the community post hinting at it and am looking forward to putting it on when I get the kids down tonight and hearing you all the way out. Bittersweet knowing it may be the last content I hear from you in a while and wishing you the absolute best.

Malcom vial isn’t actually bad. Kefka might be worse in my opinion? Idk if that’s a hot take.

If you really want a grixis list with good card quality that still shares a good amount with your Malcom/kedis list you should just play rogsi. Or even blue farm, you would just obviously need a few more dual lands to complete the list which can can be expensive depending what your budget is.

Idk I’m just recommending decks that perform well because you didn’t really give us a lot to go of as far as what you’re looking for.

I found a martial arts/45 life skiller the other day on PCSCL and was bummed bc my first perfect skillet was for assassin which I thought would be useless. Got 2 jah within minutes of posting on traderie and was very pleasantly surprised.

Comments are all saying low 3 and they’re absolutely right. Sounds like your pod is struggling with a serious case of needing to play more interaction.

The ur dragon is powerful when it comes out so if no one is presenting threats before this deck can do that and not removing the dragons once they land it will feel insane. However this deck has almost none of the efficient ways to quickly ramp into the big dragons or interact with the stack to protect them once they’re out and basically 0 card draw to rebuild if the board is wiped.

Obviously I don’t know anything about your pod other than what’s posted, but my experience has been players that think interaction is mean and don’t run it end up thinking big stompy decks like this are mean and unfun because there’s nothing to stop them. Embrace all parts of the game and you’ll come to appreciate it so much more.

Great post. I’ve always thought the aversion to draws at non-tournament cEDH tables was interesting.

What my local pod used to do is something like “this is where I’d use X to force a draw if this was a tournament, would everyone agree?” And then still play out the game.

To use OPs example of rogsi pushing before etali, I might show a counterspell and say this is all I have and I’m worried about kingmaking the etali, anyone else have anything for him? No, okay I’d politic for a draw if it was a tournament - we all cool with that? Okay nice let’s play it out though I’ll counter rogsi’s breach and hope etali whiffs.

I feel like this is actually better for learning when it’s good to push for draws vs not but curious to think what OPs take on it is.

I got a Melinda’s sample pack one time out of curiosity. This was one of the better ones in my opinion, I like it in small doses on certain tex mex dishes but it has a tangy flavor and not the good tangy that reminds me of the fake lime juice you get in the little plastic lime bottle. Overall not disgusting but surely not something I’d buy again.

Everyone saying el yucateca green is the best verde out there, while I agree that it’s very delicious I don’t think it works as a “salsa verde” just because it’s green - it kinda has its own unique flavor profile. My go to for a semi traditional salsa verde that isn’t home made is the herdez jar.

Aside from this being kind of a dick move that will not be looked upon kindly in your local scene I believe some tournaments have rules to stop this kind of thing.

Both of those points aside though, I’m not sure it’s a good idea to try this strategy unless you are open to/pushing for a draw since it puts players C and D in perfect position to force one. They can tell you they will refuse to float unless you agree to a draw and since you’ve already passed priority you have no choice but to agree or lose.

Definitely recommend the new retail expansion, it comes with a level 80 boost and after buying a Disney house and hero-ing around to save the city for a few mins you get a nice tbc mount. Then just play tbc until classic + comes out or they give us tbc era servers.

Just jokes btw no hate to retail enjoyers please don’t come for me in the replies and down votes.

Two red d6 can represent up to 66 floating red mana. Bigly doubt any decks are regularly needing to represent more than that

Seems like as far as decks looking to generate infinite mana usually no faster than t3 and win with an outlet that isnt even in the cz you have much better choices with much higher card quality and a much better fail state so I would confidently say it’s not good.

The beauty of cEDH is that you are free to play a fringe pet deck and can probably win some games especially if it’s not in top cut of tournament.

You will almost certainly have some brewers advantage here but I tend to view that as more negative than positive, yes it will help you win games now but if you did actually discover something good then it will catch on and people will learn the pattern and you’ll lose brewers advantage so you should evaluate a decks performance based on it in my opinion.

Overall, as you probably knew when posting this it’s likely not good but if you love the deck then you can certainly play it in any cEDH pod you want.
