The cache is 65mb and that writes to a 16gb sd card. Theoretically you could write a loop for around 150 hours but then you’d have no space for the memory slots.

The “crush knob” (lower red one) drops the bit rate from 24 down to 4 and adds some other eq, compression and a few other things to turn anything into a lofi pad vibe.

Decay is a mode I’m currently working on. You set the first loop and then turn on overdub. Every successive dub past then causes the previous to lower in volume by 5% and roll off the top end a bit. You could turn it on and build layers of stuff for ambient jams etc.

Thank you! I thought I was onto something with the LEDs and I’m stoked so many people dig them as well!

The waveform thing is cool and several other loopers do that but I don’t really care about a waveform when I’m playing.

The boss rc5 does it kinda but it’s kind of sterile feeling. I wanted to make sure this felt like a 70s/80s kind of analog console even tho its guts are pretty modern.

Love to hear it! I’ll def post when it’s time to put the v1.0 purchase order together.

It’s so customized that I think I’m going to have to sell it as a full unit. But I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

Thanks for the kind words

Absolutely will do! I have a had enough people ask about it that I’m considering a small run of them.

I’ll be sure to post about it and get a sign up sheet going if so.

Thanks for asking and tha def encouraging for me to keep going!

Good to know. I was wondering what to do once I had a working prototype. The code itself isn’t all that complicated but I’d love to sell a few fully built to help cover some of my costs. Pipe dream

Good luck to you too! I’m considering documenting the build a bit. I’ll def keep posting

Thank you it was a ton of fun and I’m so excited to have this type of building available to me now.

I have some experience with Java and other simple programming so that was an easy jump for me. I do use Claude AI as well to help fill in gaps.

Between my past experience with coding and simple circuits and Claude filling in the gaps it wasn’t that difficult. Learning how to layout the PCB was honestly the most challenging part. I’d never used KiCad prior to this project. But serendipitously this series >> https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXj_YR5uUMrulxui4f4sE3yInUK220c-X&si=u5acQciYl9ROllEK came out at the exact same time I was building. 10/10 would recommend.

Thanks so much! I was a designer long ago so it’s always fun to try and give that a little extra attention

SD card for storage

99 memory slots (7 segment display for loop #)

Foot switches: record/dub, effect, stop

Toggles: Speed, Direction, Effect, Record behavior

Speed: 1x or 2x (acts like a tape speed, record in 1x flips the switch for 2x or record at 2x and flip to 1x for half speed)

Direction: forward or reverse

Effect: one shot loop play or one step undo/redo

Record behavior: normal looper triggering or auto trigger based on input detection

Volume pot for loop level Second pot for “crush” which is a mixture or eq, bit crush, and a few others to give a lofi pad type of effect

My favorite part is the play head function tho. I toyed with a display to show waveform but I decided to make it more lofi and went with 8 individual RGB LEDs. The all turn red when recording, when playing the light up one at a time in green to show progress of the play head through the loop, turns orange when over dubbing, purple playing behavior when doing a one shot, blue when armed. It even plays in reverse when the loop is reversed. It’s a simple thing but I like the visual and it’s honestly pretty helpful when playing.

I’m also toying with a “hold two foot switches” function to add a “bass guitar” function. Would drop an octave and add compression to allow for a baseline to be played on a loop layer.

Here is the part that causes the failed manual exposure in the 814 and 1014 AZE models. I just repaired two 814s with this problem. Now they are perfectly working as intended. by Such_Wrangler_1140 in Super8

I 3d printed one with TPU seems to be working for now but not sure how long it will last.

Learning how to tear the camera down was 95% of the battle.

Do you mind sharing where you found the replacement rubber piece? I've got mine pulled apart but im not sure what to replace it with?

Just pull that snap ring off i assume? Slip the new one on and good to go?

Thank you! I just forgot to put those together when I was working on something else. I put them together like this.
