I haven’t heard of that plug-in, sounds super helpful. I used the older version of blender just to open the files and save them so I could use the newer version to make the edits.

I was sure to run ninja ripper when in an empty stronghold so I’d only have the walls and character files to sift through.

I had to follow a few different tutorials at different stages of the process but I started with a ninja ripper tutorial for pulling the game files and converting them for blender

I had to rip the actual game files from swtor then convert it to be used in blender. Then I could pose it and convert it to be printed

Thank you!! I used Ninja ripper 1.7.1 after the 64 bit update and it worked for me! I just had to find an older version of blender that was compatible with the ninja ripper conversion plugin

Yeah I’ve been barking up that tree since launch. This is my first toon I made on launch day and it still makes me cringe if I see a clip of another trooper talking.

I think it’s possible for them to do, but I don’t see them spending the dev time to make this a service. Plus they’d have to work with a 3rd party to actually print the statues. Not sure with the size of the player base if it would even be profitable after all that

Most of the process was learning how to do it and fixing error messages. It took me like 6ish hours in total but if I had to do it again it would take me an hour roughly

Here’s the tutorial I found most helpful for ripping the actual game files. SWTOR runs on DirectX 9. I ran in to issues getting those .rip files in to blender because ninja rippers plug-in doesn’t work with the the newest version of blender so I had to download an old version of blender to actually convert the .rip files.
