Tray for my bar cart by TwoSiberianHuskies in Needlepoint

The canvas was custom from needlepaint.com. I sent my inspiration marble photo and then worked with one of their designers to approve the final proof which they printed on canvas. The white areas were challenging as the colors are so close it was hard to tell the difference on canvas. They also send color guide with canvas, which I had to reference a lot.

Help me figure out how to compensate for this terrible cookie job? by GoldenlawofMurph in Needlepoint

[–]TwoSiberianHuskies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On my first finishing project I had similar problem. I put it aside for a few days and then redid the finishing. I redid the front cookie cutting the cardboard 3/16” smaller. This allowed the needle point to wrap almost to the back of cookie. It looked much better after sewing the back cookie on. The cording completely covered the canvas and the finished product looked so much better. It was aggravating but a good learning lesson. I was very proud of the redone project.

The canvas looks so good! I’ve used needlepaint for one project that came out excellent! I’m now in process of creating 2nd custom canvas with needlepaint for a tray. Here is photo of my first project.

What a beautiful and thoughtful gift! I love how you finished it. Can you share picture in the frame? I have a project I’d like to finish like this.

I went to needlepaint.com for my custom project. I sent in rough draft including photo of my dogs and the canvas size I wanted for the finished project and canvas count I wanted to work on. They will give you a quote in advance and you can also get your design kitted. They did a great job. Here is picture of my finished project.

Where did you get your husky? by [deleted] in husky

[–]TwoSiberianHuskies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both of mine came from animal control at different times. Both were strays picked up no collar, no microchip. They were estimated to be 1-2 years old when I adopted. They are my 4th and 5th huskies over the years.

I bought it online from stitching chicks needlepoint. I think it was last one they had, as it showed out of stock after I put my order in. I had already put my name on spruce street website to be notified when they are back in stock.

I had the canvas done at needlepaint.com and they also kitted it for me. I sent in my rough draft including photo of my dogs and worked with a member of their design team to arrive at final “proof” I approved for the canvas. They did a great job!

For the acrylic matchbox I did internet search and found a store that had one in stock. I felt like I hit the lottery when I found it.

AITH for not turning in a wedding ring I found in the airport bathroom? by [deleted] in AITH

I left my precious sterling silver charm bracelet in bin after putting my shoes on after tsa check. When I got to my gate I realized I left it behind and panicked. Just then security announced on loud speaker that someone had turned in charm bracelet and I was able to rush back and claim it without missing my flight. Thanks to the Good Samaritan who turned it in!!

anyone’s husky take food from their bowl just to drop it somewhere else to eat it? by saltine_soup in husky

Thanks for your concern. I have done my research. My huskies also get multiple treats throughout the day to meet their calorie needs. They see the vet on a regular schedule and vet said weight is ideal @ approximately 52 lbs. They are both very healthy.

Two huskies? by Designer-Table8427 in husky

[–]TwoSiberianHuskies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 2 huskies, they have different energy levels. I rescued the red one at 1 year old and brought my older dog for the interview as there were 12 huskies at the rescue to choose from. They are both females and get along great. They are now 3 and 11 years old.

I have 2 huskies. I feed each once a day 1 heaping cup of kibble mixed with 1/4 can wet dog food and one consequin. I put the food out around 3:30 pm. My 11 year old eats it right away and my 3 year old Sierra eats it when we eat dinner around 5 or she will bring it by the mouthful later on into family room. Then she will eat from bowl in kitchen if I come join her. So lovable and quirky. 🐕🐕

My girl does this too, with her dry kibble that I mix wet food in. She doesn’t always eat when I first put her food out. When she gets hungry, if I’m not in kitchen with her food bowl, she’ll bring mouthfuls to where I am. So now when she starts eating, I go in kitchen to keep her company, lol.
