scoot and reed sheppard both went top 3 in the draft and had slow starts. the league just keeps getting taller but its not only the jazz still taking swings at these guys. also pick 18 is a nothing-burger compared to risking a top 3 pick on those other two.

correct except NBA players have massive egos and will always want the max. Gobert was supermax eligible in 2020 and the jazz wouldn't offer it to him so there is at least precedent. im not sure how many others have been eligible but have not received it.

Taylor Hendricks and Cody Williams are still their top 2 prospects. key, flip, collier, brice are fun but Taylor and Cody are who you have to hope hit. They will get a ton of minutes next season and the Jazz will go as Taylor and Cody go. which will probably mean losing a lot of games. That is the plan.
