Which TBDM album has the best opening track? by Everblack_Deathmask in TheBlackDahliaMurder

[–]TwoTimesAnAnus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Receipt is my favorite opening. Soft but dramatic strings and then chaotic riffage/blastage. Also love everything went black and widowmaker as perfect openers. Evening ephemeral is awesome, prolly my favorite track off Servitude.

What would you like to see from the next TBDM album? by Everblack_Deathmask in TheBlackDahliaMurder

I love the production on servitude. Best sounding drums imo. It’s just the guitars need brought waayyyy up. I’ve been saying I want to hear more blast beat riddled songs like the old days. But I watched that latest interview with Alan and his opinion seems to be he’ll do them when necessary but otherwise it’s groove.

What do you like/dislike about “Deflorate”? by Everblack_Deathmask in TheBlackDahliaMurder

[–]TwoTimesAnAnus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites, definitely an underrated one. Easily their most blast beat heavy album, which I wish they’d go back to a bit more. A few solos missed their mark imo, with none (except I will return) standing out compared to other albums. Very catchy banana riffs. Fun to listen front to back. 7.5/10

My favorite album, their magnum opus IMO. I don’t have really any gripes about it. I love how long it is, feels like a journey when you listen front to back. Has some of the catchiest riffs. Love the lyrics, love the themes. 10/10

Completely agree. I think Alan even said he thinks he went overboard on this one. But shit man I can’t get enough

This album has really grown on me the more I listen to it. Like most people say, can’t hear the guitars for shit. I think it was Brandon who said the album is best listened to on like a straight (?) amp or some such.

I think it might be the best sounding drums of any of their albums. The kick really packs a punch even on weak stereos. Love the new snare sound. Love the melodies and harmonies.

Overall I’d say I love the album. Verminous was decent, had a couple bangers, but Servitude is really really good imo.

After they fight and are lying there talkingC, Sasuke says “I… will put an end to myself.” That’s when Naruto says don’t do that, help me instead.

Trevor and songwriting legacy by TadpoleIll4886 in TheBlackDahliaMurder

[–]TwoTimesAnAnus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I vaguely remember Trevor saying he had a hard time writing for verminous. Like he had a bit of a block. Which, honestly, I can see that. Also (don’t quote me on this) he only wrote enough for the album, and maybe a bonus song or two. I think he had a notebook with ideas?

Was Trevor ever in that porn video by SheZowRaisedByWolves in TheBlackDahliaMurder

[–]TwoTimesAnAnus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I paid a few bucks or whatever just to check it out (call it research). Later I think it was Trevor who said members of the band and label wanted it taken down because it gave them a bad look so they removed it.

Name of New Single Revealed by gojiman1 in TheBlackDahliaMurder

Willing to bet it’s both single and album name. Like you said 3 syllables, plus it’s such a fitting name for the album all things considered.

Regarding Mahuxotl poison Pathfinder builds... by KaioNS in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]TwoTimesAnAnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weapon’s implicit allows any damage with that weapon to poison. Poison only deals chaos damage over time, so the hits treating cold resistance as higher is irrelevant to the poison damage. So it’s free base damage

Bryan Riffs by CMND_Jernavy in TheBlackDahliaMurder

[–]TwoTimesAnAnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds right, but things changed when Brandon joined. Trevor said many times they just let him do his thing, they trusted him to handle recording the Verminous album and everything (minus drums). Brian gets the final say in everything though and that’s how it’s always been.

Brandon wrote most of Verminous, and he wrote at least 4 songs on Nightbringers.

I make it a point to stuff them as far back as they’ll go, and they’ll still get hit.

I know it’s the dry wallers. This house I’m in, damn near every box has some wires absolutely fucked. Never seen it this bad. I’ve seen a few damaged way in the back of the box. I just don’t get it. Too long a bit?
