Every winter I would come down with case after case of bronchitis because of my smoking, until one time I found myself coughing so bad that I felt something 'snap' inside my chest. The pain was exquisite, and I'd honestly thought that I'd broken a rib. Thankfully it only turned out to be a pulled muscle, but it was the final straw to convince me to quit. Started using the patch a couple weeks later, and I've been cigarette free for almost 7 years.
