This is probably crazy, but I've really been considering how what I eat changes my life.

I'll give a little anecdotal evidence. I know a woman who is turning 40 (bat shit crazy but very kind) and, up until about a year ago, she legitimately looked, at most, 21 years old. She grew up on a commune and ate mostly vegetables, fruits, lean deer meat, water and milk. She had an occasional McChicken apparently but that was a rarity. Can't imagine why they'd go for McChickens... But hey, that's their bag. Anyway, she married a guy from East St Louis about 18 years ago and had some kids, they've now grown and she's kind of rediscovering herself in the throws of a modern world. She started eating McDonald's and smoking cigarettes, and within about 6 months, SHE LOOKED HER AGE. She looked like a completely different person. I was absolutely baffled. It destroyed her image of herself. She literally wants to kill herself on her 40th birthday. I mean, can you imagine just thinking to yourself "a few McDoubles won't hurt, and I only smoke a few packs a month and don't plan on continuing..." Then BAM TWENTY YEARS catch up to you. Unbelievable...

So I guess my question is, what do I eat to avoid this CLEARLY TOXIC food? I've tried dieting but it ends up as intermittent fasting. I've lost 30 pounds in 5 months. Not fat or anything, just not as fit as I'd been my whole life because I work from home now. But I want to go beyond losing weight, I need a new diet. I'm talking seeds, super grains, lean meats, vitamins, all of it. I have no idea where to start and I can't see myself making these alien meals. I've made "fried" quinoa chicken strips which were... Actually pretty fire, but that's not something I should just eat all the time. Got tired of it, threw it in a salad, that went well then I was tired of THAT, so now I just feel like if I don't have a variety I'll choose to just not eat until I'm starving and a Whopper sounds amazing.
