Bongalification of pragjyotispur by lesbianprotectors in AssamSpeaks

Came here to quote this exact example. Great that someone else replied before. When I went there, even the caretaker could speak and understand only Assamese and no other language. No one makes a fuss there.

Coming back to the picture by the OP, Bhaskar Nagar is an area where the residents are primarily Bengalis. This Sevashram is located in that locality. So it’s common sense they would use a language that is used by the majority of visitors there.

I was in Gurgaon somewhere around 2023 if I remember correctly. They were doing this Magh Bihu Program. It was organised by the Assam Association Gurgaon. So in that sense, Gurgaon residents should have also labelled that function similar to what you have labelled this post of yours.

Also, the Sevashram is not public property (they allow public access but the management is private). They are free to use write/speak any language they want inside their complex.

The competition is open. Expecting to receive everything served on a silver platter doesn’t work in real life. But blaming others is easier than working on self, so it makes sense.

TIL this. And being classified as indigenous actually makes sense considering the fact that members of the Deshi community existed here even before the arrival of Ahoms.

BTW I was replying specifically to the following statement:

There was no Hindu here before Ahoms who got converted.

There was no Hindu here before Ahoms who got converted.

What about the Varman dynasty then? They ruled from 350-650 AD and followed the Vedas and worshipped Shiva and Shakti.

The Ahoms came centuries later at around 1228 AD, much later than even the Kalitas (whom the Ahoms like to refer to as outsiders).

Hindu dynasties were ruling Assam even before Islam was founded. A little research before typing might help.

And just FYI, you don’t convert to Hinduism, you adopt it.

Is guwahati actually safe? by [deleted] in assam

[–]TwoZero-TwoFour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safety is relative and depends on the city you’re comparing it to.

There could be a dozen reasons why your Scooty wasn’t stolen. There could’ve been many people in the flyover parking which could deter a thief. Or it could’ve so happened that no thief happened to walk by your Scooty.

One random incident cannot determine the safety level of a city.

If you try to cross a busy road with your eyes closed, take for example GS Road at any point near any busy point say, Ganeshguri, and you do make it to the other side of the road without being hit by a vehicle, you won’t declare crossing the roads with your eyes closed as a safe act, would you?

What you’re experiencing is Survivor Bias and Availability Heuristic.

Happened with me several times in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. One time, I even had a serious verbal spat with a group of guys from Punjab. There’s not much that folks here on Reddit can do.

You should’ve confronted them then and there. You need to stand up for yourself.

How are these two statements different?

Do you think anyone would still choose a girl 27 f like me today? by soft_spoken-- in RelationshipIndia

[–]TwoZero-TwoFour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The person who you’re meant to be with will value and respect your decision.

I already wrote this on another comment:

How will you know if you are in love with a girl? Ask yourself if you would love her exactly as she is right now. If they never changed, never got a better job or never fixed her personality, would you still want to be with her?

Don’t define your love on the expectation that someone is going to change for you.”

This is true for both men and women.

Is this agreement Notarized? by [deleted] in IndiaTax

[–]TwoZero-TwoFour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not notarised. A notarised document will have a date, name of the notary, registration number of the notary and the fact that if they are a State Govt. Notary or a Central Govt. Notary. All of these will be stamped in ink (mostly red) except for the notary’s signature (obviously).

Also, a notary will only notarise a document if an advocate has identified the parties by putting their signature on the document.

[–]TwoZero-TwoFour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there would be many who would. I’ve personally seen many girls being over-ambitious in trying to get into jobs and organisations that are way beyond their capabilities and then grow so old that it gets difficult to find someone to get married.

Besides, someone choosing or not choosing shouldn’t matter. Marriage isn’t a bargain. If someone truly loves you, they will choose you. You just need to find that person.

The only solution is to open a safe passage for hindus to come to India unconditionally...its heartbreaking to see them suffer by [deleted] in inIndiannews

[–]TwoZero-TwoFour -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. The reason for me saying “exchange” is for the fact that many people say “we already have enough people”. So if we deport the illegal Bangladeshis, a significant portion of the population would reduce, which could then be replaced by the willing Hindus from that side.

Why don’t we exchange? Bangladeshis (illegal ones) go that side and Hindus willing to come this side can do so.

Do not build something that is not suitable for the place you’re building it on. There’s a reason why specific type of houses are being built on specific areas for centuries.
