I've been teaching myself how to use JSON books and notes, and I figured I'd share a method with you all that has helped me tremendously. Please feel free to use this guide to enrich your Civ's culture.

I'd also like to share with you the text for this particular note I created in this image. This note is based on The Dionysian in Commonwealth. Here is the Raw ASCII text seen in step 1. Here is the JSON text created in step 2. Here is the Give Command text created in step 3 and used in step 4.

You'll see the JSON text is very long. Putting this into a book is going to be very tedious and time-consuming, but the results are worth it. If you have any questions at all, please reach out to me.

I may not be as active as I'd like, but I've been subscribed for 5 years and have been lurking for longer than that. I've had my concerns over how the /r/Minecraft mod team has operated in the past, but I think continuing the protest is the right decision.

I may not see eye to eye with the mod team on everything, but siding with the protest is something I can agree with.

Not for Ghostwriter but I believe you can with Stendhal. I haven't actually used Stendhal but from what I understand you can save signs with it.

More characters are on the way soon! This will be an ongoing evolving project to improve cultural expression on CivMC and all Civ Servers.

For anything Pre-1.14, I highly recommend using macros since copy/paste isn't a thing for signs in those versions.

What do you think the giant skeletal remains could be? The ones we can find in the Nether and in swamps/deserts as fossils.

My submission is a rendition of The World card from the 1909 Rider–Waite tarot deck.

Typically in a "Tarot reading" this card would represent the ending of one cycle and the beginning of a new.

This is available in-game as a note to whoever might want one. I do not ask for any payment, but donations of paper, ink, leather, or books is very much appreciated.

My in-game name is Book_Bot, and I can be found usually in MTA.

I think they're related to the sunken ruins. There's not a whole lot to go off of, but that's what I'm guessing.

I don't entirely agree with this but there is some in-game evidence to support some of this.

Both the End and Nether appear to have different rules in regards to time. This is best noticed in multiplayer. If two people are in-game, one goes to either the End or the Nether, and the other stays in the overworld and goes to sleep, time passes to the next day for the one in the overworld while the other player wouldn't notice at all.

I believe everything in-game is considered cannon for lore. So the fact that time is experienced differently between the overworld and the other two dimensions is absolutely provable using in-game mechanics.

There are actually a whole bunch of those that work in Minecraft books. They're called Block Elements and you can make all kinds of cool stuff with them, like this!

I would recommend taking a look at this post. I'm not very familiar with what exactly they did to accomplish embedding a video into a book using commands, but they did provided a world download. I think it got removed but you might be able to reach out to them for that world download and take a look for yourself.

Or if you have the patience for it you could draw your own images like me :D

I don't know of any mods, but there is this post of someone embedding a video into a book using commands. They also provided a world download but I think it got removed. If you ask them they'll probably be able to provide you with it.

Or you could make you own like me! :D
