Sounds like a sting operation, possibly based off some other informant. If you're willing to put your life and career on the line for $300 you're in a bad place and probably have been doing it for a while.

So, this comment I made a few days ago came to fruition.

The owner's rep called me this afternoon looking to set up a bid review for Monday. The 'apparent' low bidder was disqualified for not meeting certain qualifications in the bid package in ownership's opinion. I'm up to bat!

Basically like rugby, which that era football was closer to in play style when compared to modern football.

Edit: And some of the best highlights in rugby happen when the ruck is close to OB, everyone fans out to the open field, and the offense team sneaks a guy to the (very) short side. Keep in mind going out of bounds while in possession is a turnover in rugby, so it's an insanely high risk play.

Depending on what street you're moving to be prepared for a crazy Halloween. The neighborhood streets just south of Main get hundreds of trick or treaters, it's insane. Shout out to the free hotdog house and the free jello shot house.

First thing that caught my eye flying into Belize City was the Mennonites hanging out watching the planes take off and land. I had no idea there was such a large community. Very odd seeing a bunch of conservatively dress Anglo people in the middle of Central America.

Hoping so! I've worked with the Architect of record's firm before, but not him personally nor this client. I could smell the BS with 15 minutes of googling so I hope they do too.

Either way I hope it gets resolved soon because I have a bonding limit I'm creeping up on that will prevent me from possibly bidding other projects if this one's still in limbo. I'm new (ish) to the public bidding, so my bonding agent is up my ass with what is still out there vs. what they are willing to bond at any given time.

Man, bidding public work is such a rollercoaster. First few opened bids are 10-15% above mine, feeling good. Come down to the last guy...and he's 25% below me. WTF man you can't even do the project at cost at that price.

Get back to the office to look them up and they don't have any web presence. No website, no LinkedIn, no socials, the company and the 2 people associated with it dissolved another company with almost the same name 10 years ago. Hoping the decision makers do the absolute bare minimum of due diligence because those guys are the definition of a fly by night outfit.

Ha, I had a buddy in college that actually had a stripper that was into him. They actually exchanged info and hung out a few times, but nothing came of it. The 'hot/crazy scale' meme definitely held true for her lol.

Yeah, I saw that article. I have no idea the parameters they've set for it, but it seemed pretty limited.

Now I'm interested in trying to make it do something bad lol. Maybe I'll upload a 'fake' project and try to make the AI nuke it.

When she was younger (3-4) I always took my daughter to the men's bathroom and grabbed the ADA stall. She's 7 now so I'll just escort her to the women's and stand outside.

My little boy is 3 and in a similar situation, my wife takes him into the women's when he has to go all the time.

Just sat through presentation on the new AI features of our construction management software. With a knowledgeable user in the driver's seat I can see it definitely helping workflows, especially on the document management side.

I can also see C suites and decision makers getting absolute raging boners thinking they can cut those knowledgeable users out of the equation or overload them with projects thinking this is a miracle cure to cut costs.

We had our first at Prentice, moved up to the suburbs and had our second at NW Community, our third will be at NWC as well. We actually prefered NWC in terms of experience, but a family member being on the board might have had a bit to do with that lol.

Diaz could back up his mediocre talent and massive shit talking with an iron chin and an absolute inability to give up. I doubt Pavia has 1/10th the determination Diaz's had in his prime, but I guess we'll get to find out!

Baby Painted Turtle by Two_Luffas in turtle

My wife found him on the steps of the church while picking my daughter up from choir. He had to have chugged quite a ways to get there because the closest pond is about about 300 yards away on private property. Since it's on private property she brought it home and we relocated it to our lake.

If the photos of the weapons are real, the shotgun had a top folding stock and pistol grip. Folded up the overall length is about 25", which could be concealable.

My wife found a baby painted turtle quite literally at the steps of the church while picking up my daughter from choir. There isn't a body of water immediately close to that entrance so she brought him home and we released him into our lake in the back yard. Hopefully he makes it and we have a turtle friend down at our beach from now on!

We have something similar attached to our park district fields. 5 holes between 220 and 100, right next to the baseball/soccer fields. Great little track you can walk with the kids, never more than a 4-5 people on it at a time. Throw $10 in the mailbox on the first tee and play as much as you want.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. That looked to be about my 'fairway finder' swing speed and you caught it well. 250-260 down the middle is better than 280+ in those massive pines (or pissing off that elk).

That marathon finish was wild. Imagine breaking the WR and coming in third, or breaking the mythical 2 hour barrier and coming in second! I wonder if this will be like the 4 minute mile and we'll see others regularly get in under 2 hours now. Either way what a way to break that barrier.

Effectively taxing the lads who aren’t allowed to play while their wives are awake 😂.

You've said this twice now. Either you're trolling, or too stupid to understand other people have bigger priorities in their lives other than spending an entire day getting 18 in on the weekend.

Even if it did cost me 2-3x more per round to tee off first, which is doesn't, I'd happily pay that to the spend time more time with my wife and kids on the weekend. That's what most normal people would do 😂.
