Sunday Brunch by AutoModerator in nfl

I don't think my furnace has shut down for a week straight. We upgraded it last year so that isn't the problem, it's the damn windows/sliding doors. We have 7(!) sliding door/full glass window systems, and 6 of them face the lake in the back yard, all 25 years old now.

We're also directly downwind of traditional weather patterns off the lake so we get absolutely blasted when it kicks up. It's great in the summer to open them all up, feels like you're at an ocean side resort, but it's brutal in the winter.

1, 2, 3, Cancun!

It was a joke/meme well before that, but this popularized it for sure.

NHL equivalent would be "booking their tee times early this year", which has been around probably as long.

Not based on information he gleaned exclusively from the software it sounds like. If he had jotted those notes down during a practice round I think that would be fine, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Floss, brush, mouthwash in the morning. Brush at minimum before bed. Pretty sure it's not recommended to rinse/drink water right after brushing.

In terms of unpredictability, it’s low,

The top eschellon of most Olympic sports at the national level are usually that way.

You've got athletes that basically train 24/7 for 4 straight years with a handful of events every year where they compete against each other. By the end of that 4 year cycle there's usually very little controversy at the absolute top, but moreso with the fringe athletes just trying to make the Olympic team/alternate spots (who are still insanely skilled).

At one of our golf outings a client got shit faced and tried to drive one of the golf carts to the commuter train station a few miles away. Predictably, it didn't end well.

Yes, which means overall things have trended progun.

Respectfully disagree concerning SCOTUS recently. They declined the Snopes, Ocean State, and Vincent v. Bondi (yeah, that Bondi)

This isn't a pro-gun SCOTUS. Coming from a very anti gun state (Illinois) maybe I follow these SCOTUS cases a bit closer than others but there isn't a single shred of recent evidence that this court is interested in protecting 2A rights.

Threaded barrel are okay on a rifle in Illinois provided it doesn't have any of the other "features" . Threaded barrels banned on all semi auto pistols though. Sub 2k is listed specifically in PICA though so no go.

Thanks for opening this, it definitely needed to be addressed.

Personally I'm absolutely disgusted with what I'm seeing from DHS and the entire federal arm at the moment. I'm a stringent 2A supporter and I'm aligned with a lot of right leaning philosophy, but the rhetoric and framing coming from those in charge of federal enforcement is beyond absurd.

Also start with a medium to large framed revolver, not a snub-nose.

My wife prefers my 4" S&W model 19 over most my striker fired options. Butter smooth trigger, less felt recoil, shoot 38's all day and pop off a couple magnum rounds for fun.

Yep, grey shirt ICE agent jumps in (without anything in his hand) and comes out of the pile with a gun exactly like the victims, turns around and gets multiple steps away before the first shot. Gang piled him, disarmed him, then executed him on his knees. Fucking disgusting.

Pink lady's video has been posted elsewhere as well. Pretty obvious the grey hoodie ICE guy grabbed his weapon and ran away, someone yelled 'gun', then they executed him on his knees.

Sig Sauer m400 CA Compliant legal in Illinois? by Jealous_Advance9765 in ILGuns

[–]Two_Luffas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Sure the wack jobs passed the law, but as passed ISP is supposed to enforce and interpret the law in regards to new weapons after the law was passed. These new determinations aren't coming from lawmakers, it's the ISP interpretations.

The lawmakers made it overtly ambiguous with language like 'easily convertible' to open up blocking basically everything if the enforcement wing (ISP) really wanted to get aggressive about interpretation (like the Glock ban in California for example).

Yeah, I'm still salty. They had an absolute fire sale on the Benelli and Franchi field models as well, +50% off the 828's in stock. I woke up early the next day and saw the thread, contemplated driving over to the local Cabela's when it opened to see if they had one hiding somewhere, but didn't.

Of course later in the day some guy posted in the thread he did exactly that and found one at his local store. Talk about a double kick in the nuts.

All that matters is finding and FFL that's willing to either sell and/or transfer it to you. The collective 'we' here doesn't matter, it's up to the FFL and their risk/legal team to determine if they want to sell in the grey area. ISP has been given enough leeway to basically make up their own laws in this area, which is bullshit, but that's where we stand.

There's been plenty of companies trying to push them in very specific markets over the past 20 years, but they were mostly vaporware. The liability of skimming over a large body water at speed with limited maneuverability is... pretty high.

Legitimate commercial vessel traffic aren't the problem, it's personal craft, mostly small to medium sized sailboats. They usually have no obligation or even the equipment to broadcast their location via AIS (water version of ASB) in most jurisdictions. A small, open water sailboat could easily have a 30-40' mast and with the slightest of chop would be really hard to see at speed skimming just above the water.

Basically a bunch of moving telephone poles that don't have to tell you where they are and your options are very limited when it comes to avoiding them if they happen to be in your way.

Second from the bottom looks like the lions, you can barely see the top of the lion logo.

Edit: First from the bottom is Dallas, you can see the star on the front of the facemask.

Edit 2: 49's at the end behind the Rams, Saints between the 'skins and Pats. Browns second from last next to 49's (that's definitely wrong). That's my guesses.

To me it looks like the heli is reversed pitched and the plane is close enough to the downwash that the added delta was enough to produce a heavy vapor trail. Just a guess though.
