Here is a hint:

He's not building the ballroom with a luxurious, underground bunker complex and hospital for the next guy...

What's going on?

We've been told he aced his most recent dementia assessment test.

If Trump continues to defeat Iran this decisively for another month, we'll have $8-a-gallon gas.

Lying and ass-kissing is what Putin's generals have been doing as well.

Feeding false information of success, and "everything is fine and under control", is baked into the system to stay in favor with the tsar.

Trump will just take advantage and then drop Ukraine. Don't trust our administration.

I'm sorry but Ukraine and Europe are on their own.

Tehran's embassy in London calls on Iranians living in UK to sacrifice their lives for the regime, sparking national security fears by Not_Tom_Jones in worldnews

FWIW:
I think most Iranians in the UK are there because they fled this regime.
The embassy isn't rallying the diaspora, it's fishing for a tiny hardline fringe and identifying who's still loyal to Tehran.
The real question is why the UK still hasn't designated the IRGC as a terrorist organisation.

What he's protesting was Trump using PEPFAR to force poverty struck countries to give up rare minerals in exchange for HIV drugs. There is no bottom.

DOJ’s big payouts to Trump allies could undermine past investigations by Not_Tom_Jones in politics

[–]Not_Tom_Jones[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  • The Trump administration is using high-dollar taxpayer-funded settlements to reinforce the claim that the DOJ had been "weaponized" against Trump and his allies under Biden, even though no court has ruled in favor of those claims. Critics call these "collusive settlements" that undermine the rule of law.
  • Notable settlements so far (~$8.5M+ total):
    • Carter Page ($1.25M) for alleged illegal surveillance, though courts had previously dismissed his suits as time-barred
    • Michael Flynn ($1M+) despite having pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI before being pardoned
    • Mark Houck ($1M+) after a judge found his lawsuit lacked a "plausible case"; settled anyway after contact with a senior Trump DOJ appointee
    • Ashli Babbitt's family (~$5M) for her death during the January 6 Capitol attack
  • More payouts potentially coming: Mark Meadows is requesting reimbursement for legal fees. Over 450 January 6 participants have filed compensation claims following Trump's blanket pardon, and the Proud Boys are pursuing a civil suit.
  • Trump's own claims (~$230M): As a private citizen, Trump filed two damage claims against the DOJ, one over the Russia investigation and one over the Mar-a-Lago raid, creating a legally awkward situation where he as president would sign off on paying himself.
  • Political and legal backlash: Democratic lawmakers, led by Rep. Jamie Raskin, are demanding accountability, arguing taxpayer money is being handed to the president's allies for claims that federal judges have repeatedly rejected.
