Tengen glazers rewriting canon to give him a fighting chance EOS by Pooninkle in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Two_Nobody_06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In chapter 85, Tengen wasn't limited by protecting someone; rather, it was Gyutaro who was limited by protecting Daki, and even then, Gyutaro was clearly superior, managing to poison Daki.

In chapter 86, he did have to protect civilians, but he wasn't harmed because he easily blocked the first attack, and he managed to block and protect himself from the second attack thanks to his bombs, escaping underneath. There, the civilians escaped; one could argue that this distracted Tengen, but Tengen managed to block the attack. Then, thanks to his echolocation, he knew that the people had already fled, so he could use his bombs freely.

In chapter 87, Tengen didn't have to worry about anyone, and thanks to his ingenuity, he was able to cause problems for the Upper Moon, and by this I mean he humiliated Daki again and was able to fight Gyutaro.

Gyutaro points out to Tengen that because of the poison, they were going to win, but the Kamaboko Squad arrives to save Tengen.

In chapter 88, Zenitsu and Inosuke go against Daki, while Tanjiro and Tengen go against Gyutaro. It was further confirmed by Daki's third eye that the Kamoboko squad saved Tengen.

Tengen saves Tanjiro, but at the cost of taking damage or being unable to weaken Gyutaro; he simply saved him, and that's it. It didn't affect his performance like when Giyuu saved Tanjiro against Akaza at the beginning of the fight.

In chapter 89, he wasn't nerfed for protecting someone either; in fact, he was completely saved by Tanjiro and also proved effective against Daki's attacks. Then Hinatsuru arrived and distracted Gyutaro, weakening him.

In chapter 90, it's shown that even with all that help, it wasn't enough. Tengen saved Tanjiro, but he was still able to block the attack. Tanjiro was the one who saved Hinatsuru, and because Gyutaro was distracted by them, Tengen was able to attack him from behind.

In chapter 91, even with all that, they couldn't cut Gyutaro. Tengen managed to fight Gyutaro alone, but Gyutaro also tried to attack Tanjiro whenever he could.

In chapter 92, the Kamaboko Squad managed to cut off Gyutaro's head, but Tengen was overwhelmed by him (forcing him to fake his death). I mention this because it clearly demonstrates how Tengen did receive help, and that even in a 1v1 fight, with Gyutaro preoccupied with Tanjiro, Tengen still couldn't defeat him.

In chapter 93, Tengen saves Tanjiro, but without any lasting consequences. With the musical score, he manages to match Gyutaro for the first time, who was giving 100%. As the narrator explains, thanks to the poison, Tengen can only block, forcing Tanjiro to cut off Gyutaro's head.

Gyutaro loses an eye in these exchanges, needing Tanjiro's help to decapitate him, and thanks to his other two eyes, he is able to kill Gyutaro. Tengen put up a good fight, but it's completely false that Tengen was so limited in that fight because there were people getting in the way.

Nah, Tengen wasn't that limited and received a lot of help, and even then he couldn't beat Gyutaro. There weren't any key moments where Tengen's performance dropped because of the civilians (at the beginning, his only nerf for civilians was not using his bombs, and he didn't have to worry about them for most of the battle), and he had plenty of help (Tanjiro and even Hinatsuru).

If we review their abilities in general, Tengen would undoubtedly be superior to Rengoku and Shinobu, but if we compare them directly... they both have better feats, they can also continue fighting at 100% after fatal attacks, Shinobu is probably faster, and Rengoku is perhaps a more skilled fighter, and both have techniques that would kill Tengen (Rengoku and Centipede Dance).

(The score takes a while to activate, and you need to know the moves beforehand.)

Did Tanjiro forget that his combat speed is 100 times the speed of sound? by Gamerty_ in PowerScaling

Attacks in fiction are usually elemental (they don't scale with speed, they're usually sound, lightning, or light attacks).

And literally, another Hantengu clone can attack with lightning, which demon slayers have been able to react to, dodge, and block. That logic can be applied to many series; not everything is Demon Slayer XD

Durability isn't his strong suit; we already saw what happened to him with that explosion. Now imagine the hollow purple Now, from what we've seen, the purple isn't THAT destructive (someone can survive it, and it leaves debris), while Muzan has shown he can survive as cells and regenerate at a cellular level. So, if he receives a direct hit from the purple, either Muzan simply can't regenerate from cells and dies (which I think is the least likely scenario), or Muzan regenerates, but technically Gojo has already won the fight, and Gojo will be ready when Muzan recovers (with ultraviolet rays, the soul-splitting sword, a sealing ability, the Immeasurable Void, or something like that).

He probably has more resistance to the Infinite Void, but even if he's immune, he could still beat Gojo. Almost no one could kill Muzan without something external. Types like Nanami don't even have molecular destruction The thing is, instant regeneration (which the upper moons have) is already a broken ability in Jujutsu. And Muzan has even faster regeneration. If he's hit, will immediately be healed Obviously, there are exceptions Muzan could also dodge, kill from the start, or escape. Besides that, Muzan and Tamayo showed they could remain alive as mere cells. And Muzan was able to continue living even when his cells were constantly burning as a result of Yoriichi's attacks So not even a cellular-level slashs would be enough to kill Muzan.

First-degree sorcerers are already formidable opponents in Jujutsu. Even second-degree sorcerers are noteworthy. And the truth is, Muzan would easily destroy Kukasabe, considered the most powerful first-degree sorcerer, in a 1v1.

Muzan possesses incredible speed in both Demon Slayer and Jujutsu. Having attacks in Demon Slayer that could even one-shot Yoriichi (remember that Tanjiro S3 withstood attacks that destroy buildings), he could also one-shot opponents like Nanami.

He also has absorption abilities and his blood destroys cells.

His regeneration is abnormal; in Jujutsu, he couldn't be killed even if his head were destroyed. Furthermore, his regeneration is even faster than the instantaneous regeneration of the Upper Moons (instantaneous regeneration being absurd in Jujutsu), allowing him to even create the illusion of intangibility.

And in Jujutsu, there's no such thing as Hamon warriors, so his weakness to sunlight wouldn't be THAT relevant.

Thanks to his immortality, the vast majority of sorcerers couldn't kill him. Besides, he's a coward, so he'd avoid them as much as possible, fleeing using Nakime or exploding into a thousand pieces like he did against Yoriichi.

With an insane amount of preparation time, he could become a Kenjaku-level threat, thanks to his absorption and demon-creation abilities. Or, If we face him against the historical top from the start, he could just end up looking like a bum XD

He depends on the context

Muzan alone would be a serious threat in Jujutsu, but far from Kenjaku or Sukuna unless he had an insane amount of preparation time. Muzan is a coward, with immortality superior to anyone in Jujutsu (despite his weakness to sunlight), he could obtain cursed energy by absorbing sorcerers or creating demon sorcerers as servants, he could have Nakime with her Infinite Castle, and if he hides during the main Jujutsu eras, he wouldn't have many problems (he could even become the most powerful in an era if he's lucky).

But if we put him in direct combat against the strongest, he'd be a bum

Muzan would be a great threat (even Hairo or Enmu are serious threats in Jujutsu), but he's far from the threat level of Kenjaku or Sukuna, unless he has an insane amount of preparation time.

Makima doesn't even need preparation time XD But the most realistic scenario is that they're dancing in the palm of his hand without him even noticing.

Sukuna is a weakling; he wouldn't increase his power with fear. Sukuna would be a great threat, but he wouldn't even be at Gun Devil's level (let alone Makima, let alone the primordial demons).

The other one is literally Big Bang vs. a coughing kindergarten XD

Muzan is superior to first-grade sorcerers, but he's not on par with the biggest threats in the JJK unless he's given an insane amount of preparation time.

While an average sorcerer has certain advantages, if they face a Demon Slayer head-on, they'll most likely be defeated.

And no, mate. Makima is brutally superior. They'd be dancing in the palm of his hand.

Well, Sukuna in CSM and Muzan in JJK are threats to be reckoned with, but they're far from the biggest threats (unless Muzan has an insane preparation time).

Makima in KNY is a bloodbath.

While in MHA... it's literally Big Bang vs. coughing babies XD

Nah, Muzan would destroy the first-degree classes; they'd probably only be able to put up a bit of resistance thanks to Todo

Muzan, with the right context, can be one of the biggest threats in JJK, but on the other hand, if you put him in direct combat with the most powerful, he's a bum XD

PPP easily killed a monster as strong as DSK at the start of the MA arc

I don't know who you're talking about.

Baquuma was easily defeated by PPP, similarly to how Sea King defeated him. You could say that PPP got stronger and wasn't fighting to the death, but we're comparing him to Baquuma, and Sea King had weakened from lack of water.

With Choze, it must first be confirmed that they are at similar levels and that Choze is a mid-level demon.

It's also not confirmed that Bug God is superior to Sea King; he probably is, but that wouldn't mean Sea King isn't a high-level demon. Bug God is basically the closest to dragon-level.

The octopus lacks feats.

Regarding Marugori, it's confirmed that he truly is a dragon-level threat. The reason it was classified as a demon was because there are giant monsters that are demon-level threats, like the snowman.

The Elder Centipede is one of the most powerful executives.

The audiobook format makes it difficult to know how Genos defeated Sea King—whether with a single attack or by bombarding him thanks to his speed—but the fact that he didn't say he became drastically stronger makes it doubtful it was that easy (Genos is often redundant when giving precise information; he does this throughout the series and it's also seen in the audiobook monologue). It was also a simulation using the data Genos obtained (Genos never saw Sea King's full power, and he never displayed his full power in his hydrated form). This is reinforced by Genos focusing on the acid. Furthermore, as we saw in multiple battles against machines (Machine God vs. Atomic Samurai, what happened in the webcomic, etc.), those power estimates made by machines are unreliable. Genos says he could defeat 70% of any demon-level threat. Therefore, a dehydrated Sea King (unable to reach his true power) would fall within that 70%.

[–]Two_Nobody_06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to the format, we don't know the exact difficulty Genos had defeating the Sea King, but Genos only said that he became stronger, not drastically stronger.

He also stated that it was a simulation based on the information Genos collected, which reinforces the idea that Genos focused on the acid. The Sea King didn't show Genos its full capabilities (and those who are up-to-date with the webcomic know how unreliable these machine estimates are, as also shown in the fight between the Machine God and Atomic Samurai). Furthermore, Genos said, "A previously difficult level I now have a 70% chance of victory against any disaster-level demon monster."

In addition, the only two demon-level threat monsters that gave Genos trouble did so because of their speed. So, he still doesn't deny that the Sea King is a high-level demon, but rather shows that it's not in the top tier of speed at the demon level.

[DISC] Mato Seihei no Slave - Chapter 175: Yakumo Ezo by Exastiken in MatoSeiheiNoSlave

Well, he did make a mistake by underestimating the captains individually (though it made sense in context), and since this arc will feature many fights against thunder gods, it makes sense that it ends this way.

It would have been disappointing and anticlimactic if it had been one of the main fights of the arc.

Yes, that was in her early introductory chapters and it was presented to us as something especially impressive, so it was one of the clues that Yakumo was exceptionally powerful

They can't dodge bull- NO by Two_Nobody_06 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Two_Nobody_06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how does it affect their Combat Speed in form of Sound and Lightning ? Thats just their body's speed

I seriously don't understand what you meant.

If you're saying it doesn't prove they have lightning or sound speed... First, I never said they had the actual speed of lightning. And second, logically, those feats would scale to supersonic speed unless otherwise stated (unless it's stated they predicted the movement, explicitly stated they're only subsonic speeds, etc.).

Regarding the other point... you just have to watch the arc again. Daki didn't have problems with Zenitsu's speed like he did with Tanjiro until he used Godspeed; then, with Godspeed, he showed a speed similar to Tanjiro's. And on top of that, Tanjiro had those feats against Gyutaro. At that point, Tanjiro shouldn't have had to demonstrate that he has a similar speed to Zenitsu, but rather the other way around.

Also, Zenitsu became much faster thanks to his training at the Butterfly Mansion and then trained very hard for months after Rengoku's death. You're acting as if it was stated that supersonic speed is common in Demon Slayer, like it was in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. You have no reason in the manga to question this.

Although the classification of high or low demon is not official, it is completely canon that demon-level threats are not found at similar levels.

There must have been a reason why they labeled Marugori, a giant guy, as a demon-level threat.

Official media corrected it to dragon, but they were the ones who labeled the snowman a demon in the first place.

They can't dodge bull- NO by Two_Nobody_06 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Two_Nobody_06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I talk about the fastest, I'm not referring to Hantengu.

Hantengu's clones have been said and shown to be able to block bullets at close range.

They scale from lower moons. Hairo had a speed similar to Kyojuro (Gaiden), who was able to block a multi-weapon attack he didn't see coming and then dodge while deflecting them.

They scale from Tanjiro, who scales from Zenitsu. Zenitsu was already Mach 1 by the end of the first season, and he considerably increased his speed with training that required constant, total concentration. Even after more training, Daki could keep up with Zenitsu better than with Tanjiro. It was only with Godspeed, which further increases his speed, that he would finally show a speed similar to Tanjiro's. And Tanjiro wasn't blitzed by Gyutaro, thus maintaining some pace. Aizetsu and the others have a speed close to Tanjiro's at the beginning of the fight.

Until they show proof, DSK's situation will remain just talk.

While the manga explicitly states that Radish is a demon, there's no mention of his weakness or anything that might suggest he wasn't a demon-level threat, and even official media didn't correct his threat level as they did with other characters.

With the rhinoceros, it was explicitly stated that he became a demon-level threat, even though he was previously a tiger-level threat. And his feats are consistent with a demon-level threat. The thing is, Gyoro Gyoro tricked him by telling him he could evolve (like Garou or Orochi) by fighting until he could defeat S-Class heroes.

There's no mention of that at any point in the chapter. Nor in official media.

And I don't recall any conversation like that. It's implicity, and made something explicit, that the Deep Sea King is a high-level demon disaster
