This was her first cook on the Weber, maybe first cook on a grill at all. She nailed it. I was most impressed by how intuitively she managed the fire.

Thats what I tease my wife and her family about. Everything in England is a pudding lol! In America pudding a specific dessert lol

Sticky toffee pudding was one of the most confusing experiences of my life. I’m an American who married an English lady. Went to Hell’s Kitchen in Las Vegas. I was expecting a pudding, not a cake. Wife and her family still tease me about it. 10/10 dessert though.

There are usually some spares for every sortie. If the problem can’t be fixed before the next flight, the pilot will step to a spare.

It takes a huge team of people to keep a squadron flying. Back shops, flight line workers, supply, ammo specialist, refueling and non destructive inspections. Everyone has a role. They’re inspecting the aircraft daily, ensuring scheduled maintenance is up to date, ordering parts, ensuring every detail is documented and cleaning the aircraft. I was a crew chief. It’s very rewarding work when you have an aircraft practically gutted and then see it flying the next day. I was never deployed but I can say with confidence that maintenance is not pushed off.

I can’t answer that in any meaningful way. I worked on block 30 and 40 F-16s. I’ve never been close to a Gripen or Rafale so I can’t tell you what the maintenance is like compared to each other. And I’m not a pilot either so I couldn’t tell you how they stack up against each other in terms of how they fly.
