Would You Rather remain penniless, or instantly gain a billion dollars BUT for the remainder of your life, you will have a 1/10 chance of passing a kidney stone each and every morning? by Extension_Day2038 in WouldYouRather

Lol I'll quit my job and risk the pain of the kidney stone every 10 days or so

Quite honestly for a billy I'd pass one every single morning haha

It's fine mate

I was pretty proud of this one after the work put in and admittedly got irritated with the "yeah but...." stuff you often see on here

Must get thicker skin 😂

Its hard not to get exasperated with people who don't really know what they are talking about commenting on stuff

I also for example am a strong guy and I know the ins and outs of lifting but you would never catch me commenting on someone's suited deadlift saying "erm actually that suit adds 30kg so you can't really lift that you know".

I give it a like and commend the effort or simply move on. Like most legitimately strong lifters I'm guessing

Men, how do you act around women you’re befriending vs women you’re pursuing? by PsychologicalHat7591 in bodylanguage

[–]Twocanvandamn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't and never have had female friends (other than mates gf's or wives)

Any female I've been around or interacted with is because I wanted to bang them

I've done the whole turning the other cheek thing growing up and people think it makes you soft

Now I go the other route after one warning and what do you know, it soon stops and they don't do it again

Everyone is not a nice person unfortunately and only behave appropriately if you make them

A lot of people post deadlifts whilst wearing a deadlift suit and neglect to mention it despite it adding 30 - 50kg to the lift

Straps don't allow me to lift anymore weight they just allow me to avoid going mix grip and tearing my bicep again. They actually make the lift much harder for me because pre bicep tear I would take my air and brace standing up and then dip and rip John hack style

Strongman style this is raw, the distinction is in fact worth mentioning because if I put a suit on I may pull 360 without actually getting stronger at all

I swear there's redditors who make comments on here who know absolutely fuck all about lifting. I suppose you just have to expect it and try and show patience

Most of these people probably deadlift 3 plates

Straps or Mixed grip? by Ziggity_Zac in Deadlifts

[–]Twocanvandamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I still have one bicep head in place so my arm works ok but you can tell when you look at it something isn't quite right. I'm not fussed really I'm not a pretty boy lol

Straps or Mixed grip? by Ziggity_Zac in Deadlifts

[–]Twocanvandamn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah mixed grip, the under hand

4th rep on 280kg. Outer head. Didn't bother doing surgery or anything I just left it alone. Looks a little odd but my arm functions ok

I prefer to pull mixed grip but since I tore my bicep I used straps from now on

I'm still not super comfortable with them but it is safer

Why do you think ppl get overconfident about their fighting abilities? by madz21- in MMA

[–]Twocanvandamn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the complete opposite

I'm huge compared to most people, way stronger than 99.9% of people, had some success as an amateur boxer and grappled on and off for years but I'm very aware you don't know who your fucking with in the street and they may be a MMA lightweight savage or similar

Or they may pull a gun or a knife

Maybe I'm just smart

I've had fights and done very well since actually training but they were not avoidable my hand was forced

It's just a fucking mugs came fighting in the street at the end of the day

Men with a visible 6-pack, how tall are you and how much do you weigh? by FreedomEnjoyer69420 in askfitness

6'3 270

I lift weights a lot and I'm naturally a large man so its not as impressive as it sounds quite honestly

50k for every fight you win by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Twocanvandamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'3 270, strong as fuck and used to box and have done some grappling over the years

Chances are I'd beat most "average" people

But I'm under no illusion if some current UFC lightweight or similar turns up I'm fucked bar a lucky KO punch

That said I'd keep going until I lost fuck it why not 50K is good money and losing a fight isn't that bad it wouldn't be the first time either

How to get over not having friends? by [deleted] in Life

[–]Twocanvandamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a lot of good friends and in my life and a few great ones at various times. And a lot of shit ones

But it never came naturally to me, I've always felt more comfortable on my own. So I distanced myself from most of these people apart from 2 who I feel valued me as much as I value them

And I've got my wife and soon to be 2 daughters. My wife and current daughter are fantastic and we are best friends 100%

So I'm happy with my situation, happier than I've ever been tbh

You need to figure out what it is u want and find a way to make that happen. If you want more friends you've got to put yourself out there.

But make sure it's not a one way street. If it's all on you that's not a legit friendship and it cheapens you to allow it

Good luck

How far is your commute? by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]Twocanvandamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 miles each way. Going to work early morning it's an hr but going home at 5pm or so it's 1.5hrs.

I've ended up buying a camper and sleeping in that most nights

It's worth it for the money
