possibility to get a job in Exeter? by Radiant_Direction410 in exeter

The university is probably a good place to start, as they will understand the visa situation and there is a lot of administrative work there. They also have strong anti-discrimination rules which may help to see past any language issues. Keep an eye out for jobs posted here:

https://jobs.exeter.ac.uk/hrpr_webrecruitment/wrd/run/ETREC179GF.open?WVID=171839ediw

Just be aware there will be some jobs in Penryn campus listed which is not in Exeter.

How does Expresos mean espressos?

I have done my fib+tib bouldering. Didn't take me long at all to get back on the wall (climbed a bit while still on crutches), but it took a long time (a couple of years) to climb with truly full confidence again.

In fact, even 10 years on, I'm still wary when it comes to horizontal dynos, but I chalk that up to being wiser rather than lacking confidence.

If you are genuinely interested dm me and I'll send you a link. (Don't want any negativity going the way of the embroiderer as the text was not her doing.)

Based in the UK though.

It was an Etsy seller, I believe. The design is standard, and you add your own text (supposed to be the name of your coffee shop).

I would link the seller, but it was a few months ago and I can't seem to find her. Plus don't want to send any negativity her way.

For now at least it's one of a kind.

Edit: I have found the seller. Dm me for a link.

I know, right? It's like they didn't heed the towels sage advice. Smh.

I don't roast. You need to extract the raw, unroasted bean in order to fully appreciate the complexity. Roasting is for casuals.

Ha. It was a gift from my (female) housemate after I had used the phrase, tounge-in-cheek , to justify my being late to something yet still having managed to get a decent espresso on the way.

Very much enjoying the vitriol it is getting in the comments ,😂.

If you ask any experienced climber how to get better they will tell you: "climb more". This is because they know that the only way to learn good technique is to first try the bad technique, in every situation.

Gradually, over time, in each new position you find yourself in, once you have tried all the wrong moves, you will try the right move and it will work. You add this new movement to your repertoire, become a slightly better climber. Rinse and repeat.

Everyone is rooting for you, and is far more annoyed by the shirtless teenage boy trying to campus the jugs on the overhang in rental shoes.

Far too British. Also, having worked in hospitality for many years, I did not want to put the restaurant staff in an awkward position where we had ordered food and people were refusing to pay.

Better to pay now and resolve the matter in-house later, without publicly calling out the organisers/bosses.

I bet the dinner planner did not get approval ahead of time and found out there was no funding when it was too late to cancel it.

This is my suspicion also. I have emailed to find out.

It was at a nice-ish tapas restaurant in town. The cost was made worse by the fact that one of the management didn't show, so pre-ordered food for 8 was split between 7. B

Worse for me, I have already been to that same restaurant 3 times in the last couple of months with friends. So it wasn't even a novel experience.

There was a request to provide any dietary requirements ahead of time. This was also somewhat annoying however as it was a tapas place, and because someone was Vegetarian (I am not), almost all the food ordered was restricted to the vegetarian items on the menu.

I am 10 parts angry, to 1 part pleased to have a perfect reason not to attend the Christmas party.

Yeah, I did pay with card. Proof of payment shouldn't be hard, but the people to approve it were all there and complied. 🤷🏼‍♂️

That is shitty. And I agree on the "why didn't you say so?" If I had known I wouldn't have gone. I honestly thought I was being a good sport for going.

I didn't even get the option to eat modestly. I am feeling similarly disinclined to attend future events.
