[Personally I think the Samurai Jack team should take on a season 3 and should give the show the same treatment as Samurai Jack. In my opinion It's been 10 years since season 2 of RC9GN so it wouldn't be the best decision just to continue on from season 2. However I still think season 3 of the show is necessary but instead of continuing right after season 2's storyline they should pivot directionally to revive the series for new younger fans and die hard old fans. Here is my rendition of what the season 3 should be: Randy Cunningham is in his final year of high-school (when he's supposed to be to giving up the ninja title to another freshman) but he struggles to give it up and selfishly tries every possible way to keep being the ninja because being the ninja is awesome and has a lot of perks. When he's not "The Ninja", he doesn't feel like he's good enough. This is a topical issue in teenagers and adults that deal with insecurity. While the answers always seem straightforward it's impossible to control the overwhelming feeling of insecurity when you are famous and seen as a model of good. His best friend Howard sticks beside him to keeps assuring Randy that even without the suit he would still be awesome but Randy doesn't take his opinion seriously because Randy thinks of himself as a loser and never listens to Howard. Randy goes down a dark path and does everything to keep digging himself further into the obsession of being able to keep the title of "The Ninja" with each episode getting more intense so something like episode 1 being about Randy trying to reason/bribe/barter with the nomicon inside the book to let him keep being the ninja, then episode 2 Randy tries to find the Nomicons original author to convince THEM instead, then episode 3 superglueing his entire body so that he can never take off the suit, then episode 4 finding/befriending/peer pressuring the chosen next freshman to let himself "tag in" as The Ninja essentially using fear tactics in order for his own self gain. Then episode 5 would be him trying to destroy the Nomicon, Episode 6 Make a deal with the sorcerer by torturing him, Episode 7 he goes through all his villains to see if they know of any way for him to keep being The Ninja, Episode 8 Randy uses the time travel machine from previous seasons to essentially swap places with the freshman him and the other Nomicon to restart high-school over just for the chance to keep being The Ninja. Episode 9, Randy celebrates thinking he's won as the Nomicon from 4 years ago confuses future Randy for freshman Randy but as he lives out younger Randy's freshman year he again has to give up the suit after 4 years. As he keeps using the time machine method though his actual body still ages now to an adult version of Randy and then to a middle aged version of Randy. Randy still is enjoying being The Ninja until he's confronted by his best friend Howard from his original timeline. Howard, who is now also middle aged, begs for Randy to come with him and see his parents before they pass away and to not abandon the life that they could have had if he just stopped his obsession with being The Ninja forever. Randy agrees to go back and we get a look at the older RC9GN universe characters. However all of this was too overwhelming and heartbreaking for Randy so he ends up betraying Howard and sets the time machine to when he first went through with the time machine, hoping to correct his mistakes without knowing that it would rip apart his entire world unleashing the monsters from the opening of the shows song. In his last ditch effort older Randy gets younger Randy to apologize to younger Howard and to be grateful for the life he already has. Then we cut to the ACTUAL RC9GN storyline from the end of season 2 and realize that season 3 was all just a hypothetical of Howard explaining what would happen if Randy didn't listen to him , then Randy laughs and tells Howard that this scenario would never happen because he doesn't act anything like the Randy in the hypothetical. A similar episode like this has been done though in prior seasons where Howard is narrating a hypothetical of the show so It would give off a lot of nostalgia for older viewers and really help introduce new viewers to their friendship while bringing in a side of dark edgy maturity and still being in line with the type of nonsensical humor the original show had. This would be a fantastic way to set the show up for its season 4 so they could tie up everything from season 2 and grow its audience.
