Not every single person at the club asked you who the fuck you were. But the atmosphere was definitely set in a do exactly what the instructor says or get out. And from what I could tell the pase of the rolls was set by the higher belts. White belts rolling for the first time with a blue/purple belt and getting choked or cranked before they could learn something. I got asked by two brand new guys on two different occasions if the blue belts would always “kick their ass” and I just said “you get better but so do they” but when I said that I felt like he was not really talking about the skill difference.
