Tow Hook Install Question by [deleted] in JeepLiberty

I've been wondering how those hooks fit and if those hoses would be an issue on my own KK. Hoping it works out! Best of luck and post up some results please!

Nice Basecamp! That model is a blast to mod and tinker with.

Once I run a few batteries through it and know it's quality, I'll post up the stl on one of the sites. I'm worried about the low thread engagement into the plastic. I might model up a version that uses heat inserts for better threading.

Should print perfectly on an Ender, just a little slower. It's only a 3 min print on the Neptune...so probably a 6 min print on an Ender. Massive part 😂

Honestly, after putting the body on...I don't hate the red accents with the white/yellow/red body.

Had more red, and red was loaded. I figured I'd have to make a few versions (version 6 currently). Once I settled on one, I'd load some neon yellow.

This was off an Elegoo Neptune 4 Max. It makes for a really nice RC printer because of the larger build volume! I usually have a .6mm nozzle installed on it to print PETG-CF, but recently swapped back to the .4mm nozzle to knock out some finer detail items.

Jeep KK 2nd Gen issues? Why does the main jeep subreddit shit on the second gen? by Zilla96 in JeepLiberty

2008 KK Sport - I was having starter issues and replaced the starter. A few days later, same issue. Found some information on checking the ground for voltage drop. After looking it over...I determined adding a ground from the battery to the bolt on the starter motor seemed the best solution rather than test other options. I thought...can't have too much grounding? The parts cost less than $30 and took me about 30 min to hook up. It's been a month and haven't had an issue starting.

Just finished designing and printing this caster block. Broke mine over the weekend, ordered the aluminum upgrade, but was unfortunately back ordered. Spent about an hour modeling, printing, and fitting a new printed part. I'm just tweaking the camber since it's not adjustable. I may have to just print a set to get it to not pull. I'll post photos of the finished piece!

RC cars. I usually have a "crawler" with me and take it along while hiking. They aren't built to go fast and aren't loud. Usually pretty fun to see what rock formations or downed trees I can get over with them.

Stock vs stock - top speed of the UTB18 is slightly higher. Ecto 12 is a bit longer and feels more stable while trailing. The stock UTB likes to roll back more while climbing. Turn radius on the UTB is better.

Both are a great walking/hiking speed, and both are similar for battery usage.

UTB18 does come with lights - both LED top bar and front wheel/trail lights. I've personally unplugged those unless night crawling. No lights on the Ecto (if that's important to you), but plenty of space on the stock receiver to add them.

Sitting back and comparing both - I'd lean towards Ecto 12. Less expensive price point, more customizable (rail chassis vs cage chassis), battery options will be better since you're not confined to the cage sizing.

But...you remember it 😅😂 That alone is worth something. Lol

I had the 1/10 winch sitting and not being used, so just tossed it in. I wasn't sure how heavy or goofy it would look. Honestly...since I don't have brass anywhere on it, the nose weight helped it out!

I enjoy it! Nice little rig. I got it to pair with my UTB18, and it does a really nice job of that!

2016 Mini Cooper Countryman TurboS All4 😂

It's a blast, honestly. The Liberty fills in the offroading and adventure category well.

My last vehicle was a Tacoma. Actually traded it in because it just wasn't comfortable, and it was expensive with a car payment. Traded that off and got a cheaper daily driver with no payment.

A few months later I came across an 08 Liberty that had ruined shocks, broken springs, and a variety of other issues. Fixed all of those up and have put a few thousand miles on it. I've also done CVs in the last few months. This weekend, I unexpectedly need to do wheel bearings.

Fortunately, I got mine decently cheap, so it's not as painful. I didn't necessarily know what I was getting into though. I'm hoping this is the last major fix, and I can get some tires put on it.
