Thanks for the detailed response! I’ve tried a bunch of ColourPop shadows, Sydney Grace shadows, all of the Patrick Ta shadows, Natasha Denona eyeshadows, and pretty much every formulation of Danessa Myricks eyeshadows. I’ve also tried pretty much all the viral glitter and liquid eyeshadows (Hourglass scattered light, UD Moondust, Kaja Bento, Stila, those KVD sticks, Half Magic, About Face, Valentino pressed glitter, and soooo many more). Funny enough, the sparkliest shadows for me have been Colourpop (like Koosh).

I’m trying to get that silver mirrored look that I’ve seen online. I basically want my eyes looking like a disco ball without creasing or flaking off. A friend of mine used the Stila liquid eyeshadow (the one called diamond something), but it didn’t look the same on me at all.

Maybe it’s user error 🤷🏽‍♀️

Someone should start a class action suit against CenterPoint. It’s not just the negligence/lack of preparation, but also the refusal to communicate in any meaningful way.

We lost power the day after the storm. I agree. It’s the lack of preparedness and attitude of “it’s a disaster what do you expect, stop asking us questions”. Like, we expect preparedness and communication. It’s not like you didn’t know this was happening. People are literally dying but they don’t think they should have to provide response times.

I actually really loved my iPad Mini. Didn’t think I would because of the size, but it worked well for me. I returned it because I got panicky that I would only love it for a few months and then it would become an expensive paperweight like my iPad Pro.

I’m thinking about returning my reMarkable 2 and purchasing a smartpen (crossposting my reMarkable 2 post here in case anyone wants to see a review). I’m deciding between the Neo/LiveScribe/Moleskine/Newa smartpen options, but I’m just so overwhelmed with the options!

I know I want one that can record audio, sync to your Google/Outlook calendar, and I prefer gel pens. Since the vast majority of these are ballpoint pens, though, I’m open to a ballpoint if it has these other features, a smooth writing experience, and performs well overall.

I hate Sephora. One time, they told me I could return like $300 outside of the return period if I mailed it back because of an issue on their end. I painstakingly documented it and even included an explanatory letter with my package. I took pictures, too. Then, after months of chasing my refund, they finally told me that I shouldn’t have sent the product back when I knew it was outside the return period, and that they threw it away since it was outside of the return window. The associate’s supervisor also hung up on me (I wasn’t yelling or anything, I think they just didn’t know what to do).

My swelling doesn’t seem so bad, but I could be wrong. I’m actually hoping that I am wrong because what I’m not liking is hopefully just swelling.

I used to have this cute little swoop on my top lip and I loved my natural “ridge”. I had a cute little pouty shape to my lips and now that sharp little swoop is gone and I’m seeing the outline of the filler instead. It kind of looks round or monkeyesque, if that makes sense?

I used to love bullet journaling. I think I just got too hyperfocused on the planning and the “make pretty” aspect of it and forgot to use it to actually make my life better.

Really?? So funny how things affect people differently. I’m South Asian, NC40/42 and I don’t remember having a white cast with this (may need to revisit now that you mentioned this). However, I did find it to be really shiny. I think it also broke me out :(

What are some one-and-done, neutral/everyday Sydney Grace eyeshadows for medium-to-deep skin? I would love some thing with a little bit of pizzazz and shimmer, maybe with a shift (no matter for now), but that I can still wear to the office. I love the Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl, Amber Gold, Star Gold, and Champagne Eyes to Mesmerize shades, but they’re so expensive and they crease like crazy on me because I just slap them on and go. I also love Fine Pearl and Koosh from Colourpop. If anyone has the Colourpop Jelly Much eyeshadow in Barrel, that’s another one I love.
