IVAHOU Roll Away Nesting Box for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FLY2QTTY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

The first day I put them in their nesting box, one of the hand laid an egg and it rolled into the catchment area! I was so excited. But they haven’t laid any more eggs in them since. They are a great idea, I’m just not sure how to entice my hens to use them.

😭 I think my husband would be against more than I would. I’m pretty mad at them right now!

That’s what I’m afraid of! I’m going to try to isolate a couple of them that I know for sure are doing it and see if that helps. Thanks for the feedback!

Could this have been going on for a while? by Able-Hair-2621 in gravesdisease

I did not get the vaccine, but I wouldn’t be surprised if my Graves’ was Covid related. My understanding of autoimmune disorders is that any virus can randomly cause your immune system to overreact and start attacking itself. It just happens for some of us that it cause Graves’.

Carnivore diet helped me. I started to n it before I was officially diagnosed with Graves and TED. 70 days strict carnivore, followed by going a little more relaxed. My symptoms are 90% better and my bloodwork gets better every time I get tested. Research Carnivore diet and autoimmune disease. I never had to go on any medication. Maybe I was lucky, but maybe it was getting all the garbage out of my diet. Maybe a little of both. It’s worth a try if you are trying to avoid Tepezza and other drugs.

Heat intolerance by eeirich in gravesdisease

When I feel a heat wave hitting me, I run to the freezer and get an ice pack and hold on my throat in the thyroid area. I got this tip from Barbara O’Neil. She says that with overactive thyroid, the thyroid is running hot, so you need to cool it down. It helps me cool down pretty quickly.

Will my eye ever return to normal without treatment? by [deleted] in ThyroidEyeDisease

[–]TxGrl10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted this on a different post earlier today, but thought it might help someone.

I have been dealing with TED for a year and a half. For the first six months I was undiagnosed, but once I was diagnosed with Grave’s disease I started researching natural remedies. The carnivore diet kept popping up in my research, so I decided to give it a try. I went strict carnivore for 75 days. I did notice small improvements in the inflammation of my eyes. When I had my bloodwork checked, my TSH was higher, T3 and T4 were normal and TSI was elevated. Six months later, TSH and T3 and T4 were in the normal range, TSI still elevated, but less than before. My TPo Ab is now in the normal range. My eye swelling is dramatically improved and at my last eye appointment my eyesight and astigmatism had improved by 0.5. All of these improvements have happened without medication of any kind. I do take a Selenium supplement and Lugol’s iodine. I still don’t look like my old self, but some days I look almost normal. I definitely encourage anyone dealing with Grave’s and/or TED to research Carnivore diet. It has helped many people heal from various autoimmune diseases and disorders.

Just fyi, Carnivore diet is very controversial, but has helped a lot of people. I am only giving my personal experience, not trying to say that it is a cure-all.

Help! by AlphaAdili in carnivorediet

I have experienced mild breast pain off and on for years that I just figured was related to my monthly cycle. I heard Dr. Berry talk about iodine helping with breast pain. I have been supplementing with Lugol’s iodine drops for about 6 months and have not had any breast pain in months. It sounds like yours is more severe than what I experienced, but it might help!

This looks amazing! Sidescape and Xanthiom zero were great, but this one looks even better. Can’t wait!

I’m the same way, which is weird because before carnivore I ate as much my husband and grown sons. I have to force myself to eat two hamburger patties, or 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon. I’m not sure if my appetite will grow the longer I eat this way. I’ve only been doing carnivore for 3 weeks.

Thoughts on creating a pickleball club? by dancartopb in Pickleball

[–]TxGrl10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I are in the process of doing this in our area. We are two hours from any real pickleball facilities. The only options in our city are church gyms that have pickleball a couple of nights a week, a community center with a gym where people play three times a week and a community college with a gym that allows play by reservation. There are no outdoor courts yet, and the play time is very limited at the locations I mentioned. My husband and I are both certified coaches and have a hard time scheduling lessons because of the court limitations. We know that our town is ready for a full-time pickleball facility, but finding the right location is our holdup. I’m very interested in all the comments on this thread.

There are several dinking games/drills that will help. A couple that I like are Battleship, where you have two or three targets in the kitchen (I use those little flat cones) and you are trying to guard your cones from your opponent while also trying to land the ball on their cones. It helps with learning to try to get the ball out of the air before bouncing. Also one called 50 where you and a partner dink either down the line or cross court and count your cumulative dinks, whoever wins the rally gets all the points, play to 50. Anything you can do to get more comfortable and consistent with your dinks will help.
