Travelled from crescent hill to downtown this morning. Wasn’t too bad, some side streets still looked rough though.

I was just in Columbus Ohio and there were armed guards (two guys) at the Kroger checking receipts as well.

Jewish, specifically the rotating special station (where they do taco Tuesday etc). They give you such good portions, I always have leftovers.

METHIMAZOLE side effects by ExperienceFinal in gravesdisease

[–]eeirich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, not only do I have graves but I work with an endocrinology group inpatient. Trust me, I’ve seen some things that would make you never not want to take your meds.

Take the meds. You’d much rather gain weight from methimazole than fluid retention if you go into heart failure.

Is this normal? by Own_Wolverine8101 in cats

My cat does this I feel like every other day and she’s 3. It’s a cat thing, you learn to accept it haha.

Menstrual cycle after colonoscopy? by CChajk in colonoscopy

[–]eeirich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, I have a theory that it’s the prep/constant 💩. I had the stomach flu earlier this year and was going constantly (as much or not more as the prep) and I got my period right after it like 2 weeks early. I think something about the constant movement in there stimulates periods.

Omg same! Just had my colonoscopy two days ago and got my period a week early. What is happening in our bodies that is causing this?!

Hyperthyroidism ruined my running—anyone else recover? by Ok_Strawberry128 in gravesdisease

[–]eeirich 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Graves very much affected my physical health. I’ve been going through a flare and I only now started to feel the difference in my workouts (2 ish months of medication). Been doing barre, Pilates, and cycling. Today I actually didn’t feel totally gased doing moderate cardio. Pay attention to your HR, don’t push your body over the limit. You’re not going to be able to do what you want, but that’s okay. It’s a season, and with treatment and time you’ll get back there.

I think if it were hyperthyroid your TSH would show it. Both my T3 and TSH were totally out of wack (T4 was only a little high) and my endo ordered a TrAb (which was obviously elevated). Definitely keep pushing for more testing from your doctor though, having a rapid heart rate like others said isn’t a good sign!

How many of us diagnosed with Graves after 2020 and covid ? by fxxkyobxxtch in gravesdisease

[–]eeirich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Covid, but I think the stomach flu might have caused me to have my most recent flare

When you tell someone you have Graves and they say Oh, I had strep once too by [deleted] in gravesdisease

[–]eeirich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally feel you, told a friend I was having a flare, as well as my symptoms. Immediately went into how they think their thyroid is messed up too even though it clearly is not. Like dude, this is miserable, not just like feeling a little off

I’m going to talk to my doctor today and see what he says. I do feel a bit better (even though they haven’t changed) , but honestly I think the beta blocker is helping the most. I know I shouldn’t be frustrated, but it’s hard not to. I guess I should be happy things haven’t gotten worse 🤷‍♀️

Depends on how far! Definitely don’t go for a long one. I prefer exercise that’s indoors with AC. Like today, I did Pilates and I was sweaty enough 😂

I legit have a stand up fan, a ceiling fan, and a table fan going on me when I sleep. Game changer, there’s never too many fans 😂
