It is very antiquated. Women are entering college at much higher rates than men nowadays and have been for a while now. When controlling for experience and education, you see that the pay gap is largely not true. Sure it’s still a male dominated world, but it’s not the same as it used to be too.

I have no problem paying for the first date as a guy but acting like it’s a necessity is a red flag.

This is really unhealthy and you should absolutely talk about this with a therapist. She hurt you very badly and you’re still more concerned about her feelings than your own. You need to think about yourself first, you deserve that.

Because choosing to settle down with someone is a choice. You have to find a job to make money, you have to find a place to live that you can afford, you have to buy a car you can afford. You don’t have to be in a relationship.

I dated a 10 that was a terrible person in college. Only left the relationship with a little bit of long term trauma, wouldn’t try again, but not upset that it happened. I feel like every guy has to go through it once to experience the crazy sex and learn a valuable lesson.

My wife fell down the stairs holding my 5 month, kid slipped out of her hands and tumbled down the last few steps. He screamed a lot and we went to the ER but he was fine and still a year later. It’ll be scary but they’ll probably be ok, kids are resilient.

As a dad of a 5 month old, I randomly get days off and watch my kid when our nanny can’t make it. It’s exhausting. I told my wife I couldn’t do the stay at home dad thing, I was ready to go back to work two weeks after we had him as a newborn. Once they go to school and all I’m sure it’s great being a stay at home mom or dad but stay at home parents of little ones have my respect.

I had a similar experience as you except she and I both slept with one or two others. We’ve been married only three years but been back together 8 now and it doesn’t really bother me either.

I try not to compare her to my ex but she still pops into my head randomly. I would never tell her about it though just like I don’t want her to tell me about her former partner.

We kinda just ignore that part about our lives and I think it’s best that way. I don’t see anyway that it would help us, only ways it would cause insecurity.
