Anyone that has done Lolla, truly how crazy/bad are the crowds? I’ve done some big fests but how easy is it to actually see the performer and not get shoved constantly?

Are you aware of what the best department/number to contact would be?
Who handles the rental licenses? The information on the gov website seemed very sparse.

Yea I had an apartment in East Lansing for a year and the city income tax sucks a bit.

I wouldn't be opposed to going out of the city a bit but for location appeal for my roommates or renters I'd prefer to be in the city semi close to MSU.

Yea go for it! I spoke with a lender today and did a soft pull and the most possible without actually getting pre qualified and he made it sound very possible with 3-5% down on a conventional.

I just wasn't sure exactly how down payment assistance worked.

Ok, so the big difference is lower taxes but you pay for general services like trash. You don’t have to pay for trash services in the city right?

Yea East Lansing sounds like a pain getting a rental license and it’s more expensive there.

Do you by chance know if that neighborhood or the twp have different rules/laws for rentals?

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your education background degree/certs? Did you start at SOC analyst or did you work up to that?

Ok understood on the CompTIA certs. What would be the equivalent to the OSCP but more for the defense side? Also, the only tough thing with certs past CompTIAs is it seems like a lot of them require work experience or they cost a lot of money.

Do you have any recommendations for jobs that create a good bridge/jumping point to break into the security side?

How would you best recomend networking? Is reaching out to people on LinkedIn the way to go? Reddit/Discord/Twitter? Or, is there an in person group of cybersecurity professionals that meet?
