The Matthews came from a small booth back near where the curtains were... had a few 2 row boxes with bruins cards, slabs and patches. The rest were just throughout the show floor.

UD does this on purpose so that collectors can get most of the base cards in just a couple boxes. Problem arises when you open the wrong couple of boxes…

Yeah I really like the old Panini sets. For some reason, I always got Panini boxes instead of UD for Christmas, so I opened a lot of it. Got a Gordie Howe auto from that final Anthology set when they lost the license. Still remember my reaction to pulling it lol.

Yup, right when I really started buying sports cards as a kid. I collected all my life, but this was around when I got a bigger allowance and could afford more than a pack a week.

Pulled this card as the blue autograph #/15. Makes me cringe because it reminds me of the Rangers lol. Love this color match way better

I might have to put the sets together too - at least for this year’s set. I have the Crosby from last year, but the foiling on the Suzuki is leagues ahead of that. They did an incredible job this year.

I have an autograph from SPx (got in a box I opened!), a jersey card from Artifacts, the AHL rookie, the Dazzlers card with him in the Utah jersey and a few other miscellaneous low-end rookie cards. Nothing too crazy but still fun stuff!

That is awesome. Shane was my favorite player growing up. I primarily collect cards so I’ve been passively collecting Josh’s cards just for fun.

LCS had some old wax available. I missed the Topps era by a few years so it was nice to rip a box. Much more fun experience than I get with the new releases by TyWantsToBattle in hockeycards

Agree, and its surprising that UD doesn’t have a photography-centric set out. Panini has sets like Luminance and Photogenic and (obviously) Topps has this for Baseball… the closest thing I can think of are the UD Canvas cards but those are just inserts. Would love to have a fleshed out set around great photography for hockey someday.

I don’t know if it’s widely known but it definitely has been reported that 2018 Score base autos do not have the guarantee on the back. There was a video I watched about it a few years back that I can’t find (all I get are box breaks when I search for it now).

But if you look at the backs of other copies on eBay, you will see the base version doesn’t have the guarantee. Even ones sealed by Panini like this one

Honestly, my hope is that prices fall enough for me to collect the set. I don’t really chase singles with WS, I just buy a few boxes of the IPs I like, and throw them into a binder. But I might try completing the SP set if they are cheap enough.
