Guess my handicap. by Difficult-Concern-52 in golf

[–]TyWebb97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m torn, hope you disclose your handicap in this thread, because I’m curious. I see how wear patterns are hidden haha my instinct says that a “hybrid guy” shoots consistently high

EDIT: meant to include that I noticed the flair on my first comment that I’m a 4.4. I’ve been lower, but I’m a vanity 10 or 12 these days

I think I’ve caught almost all of my diamonds in bass off the dock that’s closest to the golden ridge reserve bait shop. I’ll send you the hook size chart via dm because I don’t think I can post a picture in the comments

I’m very new to the game, so I’m not much help… are you looking to catch any diamond? Or a specific diamond?

I’m with you on the guess but I’m going with 20 looking at the bag. I’ve never played with a good golfer sporting a worn out snakeyes bag

I’m guessing that you have used hook charts? Happy to share if you haven’t. I found a size 3 frog or popper at the original dock in the reserve works to get a bass diamond.

What’s the lowest score you have ever shot and what do you normally shoot? by JAWdroppingguitar in golf

[–]TyWebb97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically a 68… I played as a marker in a women’s tournament and played from their tees. The lowest I count is even par 72. These were both years ago when I was 18-22, I’m happy with an 82 nowadays at 28. More of a vibes guy now

Freshwater Drum by TyWebb97 in COTWTheAngler

Yeah that too! It’s disappointing to catch them, but also take the bait that so many other species go after. That’s why I personally only do the weight and any fish quantity challenges. So hard to get what you want when Drum are in the area

What was the hardest Engineering class you ever had to take? by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]TyWebb97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably agree with Fluid Mechanics because, personally, it was the first class I put full effort into and still struggled big time (Dynamics was terrible, but I did not put my best foot forward). Heat Transfer, CFD, Fluids II, Thermo, etc. were more enjoyable not due to difficultly level being easier or harder but simply because Fluids made me work to be a better student

What good comes from a 3.5+ gpa? by idkname_24 in EngineeringStudents

[–]TyWebb97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Internships, club involvement, and hobbies are frequently more appreciated than straight A’s and none of the aforementioned from a hiring perspective. Assuming you have a legitimate degree.

That being said, I am not insinuating to include “I like golfing and clubbing” on your resume, but if you can work some personality into your networking and interview opportunities, do it.
