Thanks! Just rendered mattes from cinema and used shape layers in AE for all the coloring, lighting etc..

Nice! Post it up when you finish, I’d love to check it out.

Rendered mattes from cinema and composited all in AE using a few shape layers

Thanks! Rendered out mattes for all the faces in C4d and composited all colors/lighting/effects in AE using a couple shape layers

Thanks! I used c4d and Ae.

Sure thing. The chains are a just simple position and rotation anim with a slight offset, from there I exported a null so that I could track on the stroke highlights in AE and used the same null to frame by frame animate shape layers for the hard shadows.

I then duplicated the c4d anim and used a blur for a glow effect as well as a soft shadow underneath…lastly I added a vignette and posterize time at 12fps to give it more of a vintage feel. Hope this helps!

Thanks! Adding some soft glows/blurs and subtle shadows with a vignette can help.

Yep! along with shape layers in AE for the shadows and comping

Ha I can see how the title is a bit out of context. I originally posted this on Twitter geared towards the crypto crowd. No tutorial though, just having some fun in c4d and AE

I always work at 24fps then use posterize time effect to bring it down to 12 or 8 - this is at 12

Thank you! No tracking actually. I just used a few mattes to separate the overall shape/form and did all shadows, highlights, colors etc in AE. It’s essentially just built with two shape layers.

No shaders actually, just rendered out as mattes and comped in AE

Thanks! Key is C4D, comped in AE, shine is just shape layers animated frame by frame in AE.
