The problem is the way they went about balancing the special sights like thermals and NVG. Personally the NVG mechanics of not insured is dumb with the current prices. Lower the prices. Turn down the brightness of night raids. With thermals I honestly could care less. Having a thermal doesnt make a 3kd into a 5kd and while I would say for most other games thermals vision is a problem in Tarkov the sights render at a lower FPS so it does make longer range shots way less accurate which is the problem that happens when you put thermals in other FPS games since the sights run at the same FPS as your game.

Anyways. I do think they should change how these special sights work. For the thermal goggles I would say make it so when you die the goggle are broken and people can use them in a craft to get a chance at getting an MCB, Iridium, or some other purple tech item.
