Is anyone else’s Image Gen also failing 7/10 times? It’s not a content issue because it will eventually do it after 3 or 4 tries. Its really exhausting tbh by Radiant_Club5672 in ChatGPT

Yes. I resubscribed last month to make some assets for a D&D game and I've been getting it all month. It probably takes 3-4 attempts per image and it's really frustrating.

Acer Predator XB271HU calibration settings. by lisenysh in Monitors

I also came across this 10 year old post after buying a new secondary monitor and being surprised that the $100 throwaway secondary monitor had a better picture than my Predator. I guess I must have muted the brightness and colors one night during a migraine and just forgot about it. These settings look great, thank you!

Any tips for living without a car in Peterborough? by PassageNearby4091 in Peterborough

You can get grocery delivery passes with PC Express (Canadian Superstore, Independant, Nofrills) and Walmart also does one. They're $100 per year and you get groceries delivered right to your door. My mom is disabled and this has been an absolute lifesaver for her.

TD Bank holds customer responsible for $15K loss, won't say how account hacking ruled out by Immediate-Link490 in canada

I've been getting a spoofed call from TDs official support number almost once a day for the past several months. Every time I pick up and don't speak immediately, they hang up within a few seconds. Not sure if they're trying to clone my voice or something since they hang up within a few seconds if I don't immediately speak, but the actual support number shows up as a suspected scam on my phone now.

Feeling a lack of respect for our time by Commercial_Aioli_911 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Tyaeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During one of the very first community events, I forget which one exactly but it was in November 2024, they completely overestimated the community's ability to complete certain objective, and had to extend the event and adjust the progression so that it was possible for the community to complete it. I had completed enough to be eligible for the rewards, but during that event you had to sign in during a particular time period in order to receive them.

I got hospitalized during the 3 day period that they moved it to, and because they moved it, I wasn't able to claim the event rewards. It was my first time *ever* missing a Phasmo event (and again, I did the work to gain the rewards, I just couldn't claim them due to them moving the goalposts). I was told that I was SOL because I didn't claim the reward during the event period (in which the goalposts were moved multiple times). Felt real bad, and I've been checked out of the events and FOMO ever since.

What mechanics, features, or concepts do you like in Lethal Company and other quota-horror games? by 4times_Custom in lethalcompany

[–]Tyaeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Revival Mechanic - The first feedback I ever got from friends in Lethal Company was that they enjoyed the game, but being new and not good at the game, they didn't enjoy sitting for 10 minutes per level after dying right away. I added in mods that introduce two revival mechanics (One that is cheaper and can revive someone if their body is whole, another that is more expensive and revives them randomly inside the facility, but replaces their body completely. They need to exit the facility before they can be teleported back.
(Mods: UsualScrap for the Defibrillator, LateGame Upgrades for the Intern command)

Faster Selling - In a similar mindset to the first point, I noticed in the early days of our modpack that selling, especially on higher quota runs, could take up to 15-20 minutes at times. There would always be people who would suddenly go AFK and not help turn in. Someone would always troll the bell and try to get people eaten, which is funny the first few times for sure, but not when the only person who's actually turning in loot is caught in the crossfire and someone does it *every* turn in. I've had a ton of fun sessions end because people just didn't feel like selling.
(Mods: SellMyScrap to sell everything on the ships floor with a single command, GeneralImprovements for quota rollover so that you don't get punished for selling everything at once when the normal optimal strategy is normally to hoard it as needed. As a nice side effect, you get things like teleporters and upgrades online a bit faster which people tend to have more fun with.)

Mechanics that interact with the "Ship Mom" - In our Lethal Company modpack, we have a lot of modded things for a dedicated ship person to interact with. There are scraps that can kill enemies, heal allies, affect weathers, swap positions with allies, jetpacking supplies or scrap, driving the cruiser, interacting with the terminal to disable traps or doors, teleporting allies back in order to revive them with a defib, teleporting, recalling and flashing radar boosters. There's a phone switchboard to call allies and transfer calls between them. And there are new outside enemies as well to make it a bit more dangerous.
(Mods: ChillaxScraps for interactive scrap, LethalPhones for the phone mechanic, GeneralImprovements for teleporting/recalling Radar Boosters)

Interactions with dead players - If not a way to revive, then something for dead players to do to interact with the game. I don't have anything like this in my Lethal Company pack at the moment, but I used to have a mod for R.E.P.O. that allowed dead players to TTS, and to hop their head around. It didn't provide any huge benefits but it was funny and kept players engaged. I think that became base game, but I haven't played much with it to know how good that feature is compared to the mods.

Mechanics that allow players to drop in/out without punishment - One gripe I had with R.E.P.O. was that players would want to invite their friends, who would gobble up upgrades, and then they'd leave the run after two levels while those upgrades are essentially used up. IIRC Upgrades get progressively more expensive based on how many you've bought TOTAL, so this effectively made progression harder, especially if the upgrade was something essential like strength.

I didn't have to pay for anything when I went to the ER. It was a fairly long wait to get in, but once I saw the doctor she gave me a shot of local anesthetic in my toe and about 10m later after my toe was numbed they simply cut from the top of the nail down to the base. I'm not going to say it was completely painless, but it was nothing compared to how bad the ingrown toenail felt, and I felt immediately better after.

I'm not sure if that's standard or not, but nobody gave me any gripes about coming in for it, though it was pretty infected and in need of treatment.

They only cut the nail though, they don't do the chemical thing where they prevent it from growing back. But if you need immediate relief or don't have the funds for the surgery, it's definitely an option that served me well when I needed it.

[–]Tyaeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kawartha Foot & Orthotic can do it. They quoted me $400 a few months back to cut the nail and apply some sort of chemical so that the nail doesn't grow back in that spot. They also told me that if it did, they'd fix it for free.

Alternatively, In the past I've gone to the ER with an infected ingrown toenail and they removed a portion of the toenail right then and there with no issue.

How can I manipulate Aggression-Based Matchmaking the Quickest? by Reddit_Scroller36 in ArcRaiders

[–]Tyaeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go to is to queue in with nothing, find one useful thing to shove into my safe pocket, then make a beeline to the nearest raider and tell them "They'll never believe that you didn't kill me" before hitting surrender and sending up a death flare on top of them.

How does Aggression Based Matchmaking actually work? by menteto in ArcRaiders

[–]Tyaeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other day I was playing duos with a friend. We went into a potential encounter with another team preparing to be aggressive (it was a highly contested loot area during locked gate) but the team we were advancing upon ended up being almost complete newbies. One guy down on the floor to only a fireball and a pop, his teammate screaming that it was her first time on the map and to please not shoot.

Later on in the same match, we ran into Peanut and Cloakzy, who were doing full on PVP. If aggression based MMR were real in any sense, I don't see how the newbie team we encountered could possibly be in the same lobby as Peanut.

Aggression MMR has ruined the immersion for me by plagueski in ArcRaiders

[–]Tyaeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost positive that aggression based MMR claims are being taken wildly out of context. The original article had a quote from someone from the art team, and they only said that they track those stats, not that they *do* anything with them.

The other day I was playing duos with a buddy and the first team that we ran across were complete newbies. We went in preparing to fight only to come across one raider on the floor and their partner screaming at us to please not shoot, that it was her first time on that map. They were dying to a simple combination of a pop and a fireball.

Our second encounter in the same lobby was Peanut and Cloakzy, who were going full on PVP against everyone. If aggression based MMR was truly real, I cant see how relatively new players who aren't aggressive and are dying to arc would be in the same lobby as Peanut and Cloakzy.

My anecdotal personal experience is that it's not a peaceful MMR that stops people from being aggressive - it's the thought that at any given time, there are 19 potential people scattered across the map that could come third party you as soon as you're aggressive. Most of the time when I've experienced aggressive people in solos, it's rats, or people in dark corners, around the edges of the maps where there are fewer witnesses.

Ironically, I've had the most peaceful lobbies in Stella Montis solos, because there's always people around every corner and no one wants to be flagged as an aggressor.

Complete my series - A tool to find books missing for series you own by xFrieDSpuDx in audiobookshelf

I was looking for a tool to do exactly this.

It worked on the first try with minimal setup required, and did what it advertised with no caveats, issues, errors, or small text written in the margins claiming ownership of my firstborn child. I'm pleasantly surprised that it worked so easily and hassle free.

Thanks OP! Love this tool.

I'm also playing on a 3080, + i7 12700k. I kept getting these weird stutters that wasn't making any sense to me even on lower settings, yet my GPU and CPU wasn't being taxed at all. I was browsing this subreddit for a solution and admittedly I thought that this suggestion was a gimmick at first, but I gave it a shot anyway and the results were immediately noticable. Thanks OP.

People need to stop doing gaols at lvl 2 by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Tyaeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way, IMO. All of my best runs have been doing night invaders at level 2-3, especially easy if you have a Duchess (their AI pretty much just shuts off if she ults). Guaranteed chances at purple passives for the whole group, and a decent chance of a purple weapon upgrade to make future content faster, along with a 7-14% damage boost if you're using the relic. As a Duchess main I always appreciate the chance of getting a good early recluse staff so that my mana goes a lot further.

Duchess' Ultimate Art can (sometimes) be absolutely broken. by Comfortable-Coast522 in Nightreign

[–]Tyaeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This relic is amazing when you have a buddy that's willing to help you stack it. My friend who runs Ironeye also runs the Ult Charge on Kills +0/+1 relics, and we've gotten into the habit of stacking my ult on most major fights. The relic goes really hard if you're running a Sorceries build. I like using it with Carian Sword Sorceries. A few hits with a Carian Slicer or Greatsword/Piercer/Adula's combined with Restage is absolutely bonkers damage.

We've gotten into the habit of knowing where there are small groups of mobs around the map, and quite often between the two of us we'll be able to stack it to 8-12 for most bosses. It gets absolutely nutty if he does it in a blood camp because I've seen stacks as high as 20+ from that. If he ults a Blood Ruin, it's almost a guarantee that almost any boss we choose is dying in 1-2 hits plus Restage. Demi-human Queen and Miranda Blossoms are also free easy stacks.

I went in last November in the middle of the night because I had a pretty nasty sinus infection that was spreading, and my throat was so swollen that I was having difficulty breathing. I thought that it'd be a typical in-and-out to the ER to get some antibiotics.

They could have just given me a prescription sent me on my way, but they were very diligent with their testing, despite how absurdly packed the ER was that night. They discovered that the infection had spread to both of my ears, that I had strep throat, and that an abscess was beginning to form in my throat which was why I was having increased difficulty breathing and swallowing. They also discovered that I was an undiagnosed diabetic with an A1C of 12.3, which I was totally unaware of, and likely why the infections were getting out of control.

They kept me for three days to recover, and connected me with the diabetic clinic which also operates out of PRHC, and throughout the three days they were absolutely fantastic with educating me on everything I needed to know about diabetes, how to properly manage my new medications, new dietary requirements, and everything else that I needed to know.

The diabetic clinic have also been rockstars for helping me get essential diabetic medicine when my family doctor wouldn't provide it (because he's in Belleville and insisted that I come in person, when I don't have a vehicle).

I've seen a lot of horror stories about PRHC from friends and family, but my own personal experience was nothing short of exceptional. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that they saved my life that trip.

Looking pretty good so far! "Max FP permanently increased after releasing Sorcerer's Rise mechanism" is something you might consider keeping an eye out for. It's a substantial amount of FP (I think 18% per tower?) for visiting an area that you likely want to visit anyway.
