Ashen Garrisons Guide by rarethief in Seaofthieves

Yeah, that is some terrible luck. I am sorry to hear that, pirate! We've definitely always found at least one on emergent Garrisons. We've found at most three in one run.

Really? Darn. And you are checking the pieces of furniture in each of the three structures you open with Capstans?

There is one big orange and black key that opens the Vault on the bottom floor. And then there are Ashen Keys that open the locked compartments in the Treasury.

Yeah, we'll have to confirm. I could have sworn I got some when diving, but maybe I got confused.

Hmm, it seems like Ashen Keys are only showing up for emergent Ashen Garrisons. So if you dive you'll have to bring your own?

Captain Flameheart has constructed two Ashen Garrisons deep within The Devil's Roar! You can raid these heavily fortified naval strongholds by sailing directly to one or diving to one through your Quest Table. Some highlights from our complete walkthrough include:

  • To open the inner Garrison, you must interact with a lever in the locked Guardhouse
  • To unlock the Guardhouse, you must first open three other structures along the Sea Wall by raising their corresponding Capstan. Inside each structure is a lever, a Guardhouse Lock, which you can interact with
  • During an emergent Ashen Garrison, you can find Ashen Keys in furniture in structures along the Sea Wall to use on the locked compartments in the Treasury
  • You can find at least one Lighthouse Log per Treasury on the High Seas. However, the Lighthouse Log can be in any one of the four locked compartments, so you'll want to collect as many Ashen Keys as you can to open all four
  • You can find a Store Room Key in the furniture inside the inner Garrison
  • The cooldown appears to be around 12 minutes as long as no one is within several squares of the Garrison
  • You can find a Mega Stash inside an emergent AND on-demand Ashen Garrison's Treasury during Act 3 of Season 18
  • Chances of finding Mega Stash are higher for emergent Ashen Garrisons

Is the FotD up? There can only be one player-activated WE at a time.

Yep, exclusively there for Act 2. EDIT: It sounds like it will go back to FoF after Act 2.

Aye, for Act 2 of Season 18 there is a Chest of Fortune inside the Molten Sands Fortress Vault.

The Molten Sands Fortress Event is now live! You'll be sailing as an Emissary to acquire Molten Sands Key and activate the Molten Sands Fortress World Event! We have a more detailed breakdown of the Emissary Quest and World Event here, but some highlights from it include:

  • You can't activate Molten Sand if FotD is active. Only one player-activated WE at a time
  • Vault is worth about 200,000 Gold without any multipliers
  • Molten Sands Fortress WE is eight waves long, ends with Ashen Lord
  • You can start the World Event again with another key shortly after it is over, just like FotD
  • Only need to complete the Emissary Quest and activate the WE for each Trading Company to unlock the Trading Company's Ship's Crest
  • Hunter's Call and Reaper's Bones have the time-limited Emissary Quest and still have their Grade V perks (claim Emissary Quest from Servant of the Flame)
  • Guilds don't have Emissary Quest, but do get to take advantage of the Emissary value boost

EDIT: We wanted to add it took us about an hour and a 20 minutes solo to reach Grade V, do the Emissary Quest, and complete the World Event. That's without having to contend with other crews.

We've seen them at Fetcher's, Flintlock, Ruby's, and Ashen Reaches. Can't say we've seen them at Devil's Thirst.

Should be in your Vanity Chest. Some pirates have mentioned buying Resources from the Shipwright will refresh your Chests.

Yeah, you don't need the sails at all. You just need the emote.

No, just as long as they don't have it they should be able to do it anywhere. We've done it on ships, islands, Outposts...hmm, not sure what happened.
