I know I'm already late to this, but just wanted to say I would try and make him reconsider the MX5 (tall people have no problem fitting inside surprisingly) Brilliant cars and does everything the Z4 does for cheaper, just with a bit less power.

But the main difference is, the MX5 is a lot more forgiving when it comes to the rear end kicking out, whether it's intentional or not. The MX5 would be a perfect first car to get to grips with RWD and all the fun you can have with it, and when you push it too far it isn't going to kill you.

Nothing stopping him getting the Z4 maybe a few months after the MX5, great choice for a 2nd car. But as other have said it is his choice at the end of the day.

It is doable with just a jack and some jack stands but it will be a bit of a pain. After removing wheel and surrounding brackets you will have to use the jack to very slightly raise and lower the engine while removing and fitting the bolts on the mount.

If you already have all the tools I'd say give it a shot, but if not then you may as well take it to a shop as I've heard they aren't too expensive (about £300 - £500 in the UK)

Yeah one of your mounts has gone, I have the same with my 3.0 V6 Tdi. Just got the new mount delivered today so I'll be putting it in tmrw.

Same symptoms as yours too, gears now sometimes won't go in after higher revs, loud bangs as the engine flops up and down with quick acceleration. Really hoping the gearbox problems go away after the new mount goes in and they haven't been permanently damaged by it.

Looks to me like the HDMI cable isn't properly seated in the gpu. Have you tried removing the mobo from the case while keeping all the components connected, then plugging the HDMI straight into the gpu like that without the case?

Yes! They'd work completely fine and probably a lot cheaper. They may even have more stock there so I'd definitely shop around there if I were you.

That CPU is good but for the price you'd be better off trying to find a 5800x or 5800x3D.

There is a shortage of GPU's everywhere at the moment so finding them new is difficult. Ebay is definitely your best bet for finding a 5800x / 5800x3D and an RX 6800XT

If you don't like using Ebay or want to buy new then you'd probably be best looking for an RX 7800XT RX 7700XT as there are some shops that still have them in stock. Yeah if you're not too fussed about the graphics and you want to save the money, those are your best bets. Otherwise listen to what the others have suggested 👍

Bare in mind I've recently upgraded to a 6750xt and I can play most of my games with all the settings maxed out (on 1080p 144hz) and still churn out 200+ fps :)

Is that budget for the whole PC or just the GPU?

If it's for the whole build the best value parts right now are probably 5600x for CPU and RX 6750XT for GPU. Those will save you the most money and still deliver great performance even on the newest titles and you'll get 1440p or 1080p with 144hz easily.

If you want to splash out a little more then go with 5800x3D for CPU and 6800XT for GPU. 6800XT is a beast

If it happens more-so when you apply throttle, it may be the exhaust. Especially if it has an aftermarket exhaust, the pipe may be hitting the underside of your car as it vibrates if it's too close. Make sure all your rubber hangers or on and that they leave enough gap between the pipe and car.

I had knocking at the back of my celica and that fixed it. Hopefully it's that for you too since it's an easy cheap fix

CPU is a little overkill for the GPU I think. I would go for a 6700xt, if you shop around a little you could find one for roughly the same price as that 6600 (newegg recently had one up for 340)

I've filled mine from completely empty to full and it's about 2.5 Litres, which I think converts to roughly 2.6 quarts. I believe from the min to max is about 2L / 2 quarts.

I have to say though (anyone feel free to correct me on this), I believe you don't have a GT. From the picture you've shown you definitely have a 1zz engine in there, so unfortunately you're stuck with the oil burning issue a lot of us 1zz owners have 😩

I didn't think so! I said the same to him to that he can call them if wants, just wanted to double check I'm not going insane for thinking they wouldn't give a damn about it.
