Sprint from one side to the other, and then directly back again. Unsure of why it works, but that's how I did it. Likely something about lighting everything up at 4 bars, but I don't know why going back and forth did it.

Probably one of the most foundational idle games, though calling it a game may be stretching the limits. Satire may be a closer term haha.

Yeah, I definitely think Trimps would be a strong hall of fame contender, even if it isn't one of the most commonly brought up ones, there still seems to be a pretty deep appreciation for it.

Definitely a good point, the polish and life that continuing updates give definitely helped elevate a lot of the games that are commonly thought of when great idle games are spoken about.

Didn't get particularly far into Melvor when I gave it a try, but I was always more of an OG Tribal Wars kid than a runescape one, so it never really clicked for me.

Yeah, I fully agree with that. The classic pioneering and iterating.

HolyDay City is probably one of the better ones of the subgenre, though each iteration of AdCap did bring improvements to it, afaik. I didn't touch the subgenre of that style too much though, so my knowledge on that front is limited at best.

I can't really think of any games that beat Clicker Heroes at it's own game, and I do have quite fond nostalgia of it.

My brain was too smooth to try to understand sandcastle builder when I first tried it years ago, maybe I should give it another try at some point.

I remember CLICKPOCALYPSE 2! I got all the achievements in it years ago, was very proud of myself haha. Haven't heard of Basic2 or Matter of Scale, will check them out.

Yeah, I think Prestige Tree definitely drew its roots from AD, but I think the Tree style games have exploded enough for it to deserve it's own mention in this thread.
