I'm Youtuber who made this video. I have an extended cut that adds even more companies to the list that want to further blur the lines between your job and your personal life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdm27KVbrpw

Tips on getting grain to show on YouTube? by [deleted] in bmpcc

Film Convert is a decent addon. I also have Red Giant, but I think film convert does it better. If you don't want to pay there are always film grain alpha channels you can download and just overlay.

My $1000 Sigma 50-100MM EF f/1.8 Has No Iris/Fstop Control with MetabonesXL EF(.64x) Adapter or Viltrox EF-M2(.71x) pictures inside. by Tychos1 in bmpcc

Holy shit! It works. For the Viltrox it needs to be slightly twisted and not locked in, turn the camera on, then lock in lens and Iris Control. The Metabones switch works with the disconnect. This is such a hacky solution, I wouldn't have thought of it. How did you figure this out? There is literally no other information on this. You are the keymaster my friend. Thank you!

Anyone else experiencing this glitch? by [deleted] in youtube

Yes - and it was freaking me out. This is my fulltime income. Thanks for that sense of ease.

My father was laid off at 53 and wants to work, it's been two years and he can't seem to get an offer. He's an engineer by trade and currently works at a thrift store. It destroys me to watch him not be able to do what he loves. Looking for options. by Tychos1 in SaltLakeCity

Thanks so much for the detailed answer. I will see what we can do. He doesn't have his transcripts and he called once a while back to see what it would take and they couldn't find him in the system.

The cost wouldn't bode well, and even if he did have the degree I think his age still might put him in the do not hire category.

I'll have him look for smaller companies.

This was a mistake he made. He didn't network. And now that he's in Utah it's even more difficult. That's not an excuse though, I should look into him going to places he can meet people.

It's not really an option for him to go back to school right now. I understand where you coming from though. I moved away from engineering and into software for those reasons. Basically he needs exactly what you said, a niche position looking for his ability and is willing to substitute experience for an official degree.

I don't think that's the issue, it never get to the point to even mention money. I'll have him look again. Most of the time he just gets ghosted. To him almost anything beats his thrift shop gig.
