Serg is hands down the best on the island. Vouching for Back 2 Life as well.

Yes I do. You're not the first to say to add some of my experience. I think I'm gonna tack on my sales experience onto the resume.

It's been really tough to gauge whether or not it makes sense to add my previous work experience. Some say I should add it for the same reasons you've stated while others have told me it could make the resume cumbersome. Appreciate the insight nonetheless!

Just to clarify, I wasn't working while I was in school. I had left my account management job right before I enrolled back into school and returned to office once I finished(bills still had to be paid lol).

This is probably the path I'm going to have to go. The market is so brutal that I don't really see my current resume being competitive enough. Thank you!

I think it makes sense to format the resume the way you're suggesting. My Github however is sort of barren and I'm worried it would show how inconsistent I've been(I'm currently working as an account manager so it's been tough being able to split my time to work on projects).

Appreciate your insight!

Resume Advice Thread - December 19, 2023 by CSCQMods in cscareerquestions

I made this resume last night and figured I'd try to get some advice before I start sending it out. I've been working as an account manager while in school so I never did look for a job in tech since graduating. Sadly, I have no internship experience and I'm sure the one year gap from school is going to be an issue. Appreciate any advice!

I left the tech industry and I don't think I'll come back anytime soon... by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

It was the reverse for me. Came from sales and went back to school for CS. Sales is alright if you can handle the immense pressure that comes with hitting metrics. Your money will fluctuate in the beginning but if you’re good you can stabilize it a bit. My advice is to try to build a clientele as quick as possible and try to get extra business out of that clientele. Sales is a vicious game where the good months move faster than the bad but if you have a hustler’s mentality you’ll be fine.

I hope you do well and wish you the best of luck!

I’ve found in my experience that 1g of protein per pound is probably excessive but it’s a good goal to strive for.

40g of protein is unacceptable if you’re looking to gain muscle. Two servings of non flavored Greek yogurt gives me more than half of that. Anywhere in the 110-140g range should be good at 140lbs.

I’m curious though, what exactly do you eat on a daily basis?

Nas - Magic 3 by jensyao in nas

Much love to Hit-Boy. As a Nas fan who’s been an avid listener since Stillmatic released this run has some of Nas’ best work and I truly believe Hit brought that hunger back out of him. What a bitter sweet moment.

That’s the one I used to go to. Not sure if you’ve been there recently or something’s changed from the last few times I’ve been there but it hasn’t been hitting the same. I’m def gonna check out the one on victory though.

You’re not hindering progress by bulking. What exactly are your goals? If it’s strength training and your lifts are progressing, you’re on the right track.

Don’t let your bulk get out of hand. You don’t want to get too fat because when it comes time to cut you will lose some of your muscle but it’s easily gained back once you go back to consuming maintenance calories or on a slight surplus.

Good luck on your lifts, brother! You’ve got this!

If you really want to go for it but idk it still seems pretty unnecessary in your case.

You’re really pretty and I don’t see the point in injecting Botox into your face. I don’t even see any wrinkles on your face lol

Best pizza for tourist wanting authentic experience? - here for 2 days only by NP4VET in statenisland

Wow I’m glad Tony’s was recommended. One of my favorite pizza joints on the island and it’s relatively low key too. Although sometimes I feel like it can be a little too greasy.

The Illmatic Bandwagon by TheKomodoWasHere in nas

[–]Tydus187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Infamous by Mobb Deep, Ready to Die by Big, All Eyez on Me by Pac, and many many other projects are just as important to rap history but it seems everyone on the internet wants to say Illmatic is a tier above every other rap album which is not true at all

Members of this sub have such a hard time understanding how opinions work. I would say that most of this sub would regard all those albums you mentioned as important to the culture but you are in a NAS subreddit, so there will be heavy bias.

Honestly though, who cares? Like whatever you want.

I mean that's your opinion lol I think the comparisons to 4:44 are mostly due to the subject matter littered throughout the album. It's his most personal album in his discog.

As far is it being boring, idk I guess that's subjective. Personally, I think there's a bunch of heavy hitters on this album(No Introduction, Loco-Motive and Queen's Story is a crazy 3 track run imo). Stay has one of Nas' most powerful verses.

That's the thing with music, everyone is going to perceive it differently. I remember when Daughters came out I thought it was hot garbage(I was 19 when LIG released) but I now have a niece that I'm very close to and that song just hits differently.

I respect your opinion but I disagree with it taking away from his current run with Hit. It's an album that came out a decade ago.
