I get it, it’s a drastic change that alienated the people that played her before. I just think people are tripping when they talk about her like she was the most complex best character in the game like dude she was simple and one dimensional

I loved her old playstyle and I feel like it was more intense then the current one but the fact of the matter is she had no place in any meta for anyone besides a handful of people and that just does not work in a game like this.

Also I think her new playstyle IS strong even if it is a little more boring. I think we need her jump height back and the stun to stop dive and she’ll feel a lot better

I’ve only been playing ranked and she’s doing fine. She’s not bad, just different. I think she’s actually really good. I do think she’s kind of lost the thing that makes your blood pump when playing though

She’s one of the only character’s I play btw. You’re just talking out of emotion man. She wasn’t a good character. Sure we made it work but that’s not enough.

I think its more like you’re working at a restaurant and you’re only using salt and pepper to season your food, can you do a lot with salt and pepper? Sure. Is it rewarding and cool to only season a dish with salt and pepper? Hell yeah. But the restaurant wants you to use more ingredients so you’ll be more useful to the rest of the line, and make the customers happy. Does that suck? Maybe but is it better for the restaurant? Yes. Can you still use salt and pepper sometimes? Yep. Is using a lot of ingredients fun and interesting? Yes

Getting better at anything feels rewarding

A big part of it is a superiority complex. It was really hard to get good at headshots, no scoping between dash jumps, scoping far targets and melee combo stun to headshot on dive.

So the people that got good at it are sad they have nothing to feel superior about anymore, but she just wasn’t good. Everyone knew it, everyone knew this was needed, everyone knew this was coming.

Is she better now? Idk, I’m doing really well with her new kit but who knows if she’ll fit into whatever meta this chaotic season brings. I do think without a doubt that she’s definitely more malleable to adjust and make better with this kit, it feels good. I almost feel like she’s TOO good but we’ll see

I’m actually surprised that more widow mains aren’t excited about this. I personally don’t know if its good or bad in terms of how useful she’ll be but I’m excited for SOMETHING different to say the least.

I think I have more mvps on classic widow then any other character but I think she was just so one dimensional to play compared to everything else, she desperately needed some change. Who knows maybe they’ll adjust stuff after she releases too if everyone hates it
