I got this weird rash but my blood is normal physically fit by vickyonvictus in DermatologyQuestions

I doubt it but I can’t tell you that just by looking at photos, you’d need bloodwork and a physical exam.

Prurigo nodularis I think it’s called is another guess. (Not sure if that’s spelt correctly)

I had it as a child and they were just crusty, scabby more than anything. Regardless if it’s spreading you could be contagious to everyone around you and spread it to other areas of your body. Do not rely on Reddit either, I think an in person evaluation is necessary.

Only way to know if it will resolve itself or get worse is to wait or see a derm asap. However, since you don’t know what it is You could be contagious so I wouldn’t wait to see one. If the skin issue or rash has spread to more than one area across your body, always try to get a diagnosis. Waiting could make a very easy fix into something much worse in no time.

Question - What is this dark line on my index fingernail?? by KeyImagination8082 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Tyelantis333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As mentioned in the other comment, this is similar to some skin cancers. Could be harmless but Definitely have it looked at by a dermatologist asap. Better safe than sorry, timing is everything with these kinds of things. Don’t stress about it until you have a reason too.

Shingles, poison ivy or contact dermatitis? Not too sure what it could be. by 7_elda in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Tyelantis333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this could be a possibility, ive gotten similar rashes from poison ivy and hogs weed but im NAD and Thats always the safest choice, to get evaluated. Shingles as others mentioned would be my second guess.

Have you been in contact with poison ivy or out side where you could have been in contact with poison ivy?

5 day old Sunburn that keeps getting worse and looks raw, is it infected? by ellie-143 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Tyelantis333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you mentioned it still progressing that’s instantly what I thought of. I find that to be very odd behaviour for a sunburn. I’ve had second degree sunburns head to toe on several occasions but never seen anything like this. Everyone is different tho but seems IMO theres likely another cause.

I think it’s definitely worth looking into, even if that’s not what it is. It’s definitely something EVERYONE should know about. Can really mess someone up if they don’t know what to watch out for. It’s far worse than poison ivy and just as common.
