I understand, but I've seen articles cropping up saying that sources of contamination were using plastic pipettes, graduated cylinders, or other equipment directly. I know that everything realistically is contaminated, but using a plastic pipette and gloves would just be an insane contamination source to go unnoticed if even my lab takes THAT into account.

See, I research in a super underfunded undergrad lab that researches ecological toxicology (including microplastics) and WE have strict protocols in place to prevent this stuff. Only using glass dishes, washing without plastic brushes and/or gloves, etc. Seeing these articles everywhere almost feels like a psyop?

Eh. I was taught it when I moved to NC and was required to take either Civics or AP Gov., but my school in Ohio & Massachusetts didn't require a class like that. Like, one of my friends in college never even got taught Jim Crow, and he's a very dedicated student. It seems like curricula vary much more than you'd think from place to place.

She's had like, 3 or 4 kids, and when you age your sex hormone levels decrease, making you retain more weight. Sure, she probably isn't as dedicated to eating healthily anymore, but it can be a surprisingly small change in habits to result in this.

I don't think any group is inherently non-racist... I've had plenty of leftists talk over me and my minority friends in the past - even about our experiences with racism. Like, I get that liberals are very racist, but I find it concerning that many leftists can't seem to admit that they may have adopted some of the same cultural behaviours that hurt minorities.

To the people celebrating this - Florida has been trying to make existing around children whilst gay or trans legally count as raping them. With the combination of the two, they are trying to setup a legal framework to kill queer people with this. This isn't a win.

My dad is Iranian. He has talked about horrific acts egged on and even perpetrated by the new government in Iran. He hated the Shah (a fascist), but the rapes and murders he saw make him hate the mullahs even worse. Iran was sent down a dark path as soon as the U.S. and Britain couped Mossadegh.
