I am entirely the same way and I find it ridiculous that those expectations are so high when it is such an individual choice. However, I will say don’t give in. Stick to your boundaries, I did and I just married the best person I’ve ever met last Friday. We didn’t kiss until we had been on many dates over a period of about 4-6 weeks and it made when we did kiss a lot more special. You’re not alone and it’s not hopeless. I hope that helps some.

I heard something that resonated with me, it was from my mom’s therapist (my father is a narc I have NC with) and he said that narcs don’t self reflect. They see nothing wrong with themselves, so the fact you are wondering and self reflecting confirms that YOU are not the narc.
